They have some good salads here with fresh ingredients. I love that they are creative too with the dishes. You will not be disappointed.

I cannot understand how this restaurant could be both fantastic and terrible at the same time. It is really a hit-or-miss experience.

Our group of six had a horrible experience last Friday at Dolce.
We arrived within few minutes of our friends and were received rudely by the Manager Maurizio , who had no clue that the rest of our party was already at the bar. I will not waste my time describing his mannerism and body language, the man clearly has no class.
After being seated I found out while waiting at the bar, one of our lady friends was bumped by a staff member and fell. Worst part, the waiter didn't even realize, and no apologies!

One of our group members approached the Manager to follow up on a request, and also to bring to his attention the incident at the bar. The manager had the audacity to tell, that he didn't have time to listen to him!
We were appalled by his response and then more baffled by the response we got from the Dolce group after all three families wrote to complain: "During "rush periods" in a busy restaurant, it is sadly inevitable that sometimes staff members and customers will collide when everyone is crowded together into a relatively small space and trying to move in different directions".

Dolce group claims of providing great service but as you can see from many reviews it's clear the staff and management don't know how!
As I quote the vice president of the Dolce group "we take our customers? satisfaction extremely seriously, and in the early of days of Dolce coined a phrase that illustrates our approach to the business: ?Treat every celebrity like a regular person, and treat every regular person like a celebrity.? ". Places like Dolce always come and go, unless they take their customers seriously and make sure all their employee understand the true meaning of customer service. No matter how good the food or the decor is, once you feel you're not welcomed in a place the whole mood changes and the experience ruined. I hope those of you who are serious restaurant goers and love good atmospher and courteous staff will avoid Dolce.

while dolce is known for being a seen and be seen restaurant because of its amazing atmosphere and clientele, the reason people keep coming back is most definitely for the food. I have been here a few times and never had a meal that did not meet and often surpass my expectations! right now, i'm loving the pumpkin ravioli. it is the PERFECT meal for this time of year...warms you up without leaving you stuffed (that is unless you eat the whole thing!) I split it with one of my friends and it was the perfect portion paired with the caesar salad (yuuum!) and the fried calamari appetizer (definitely some of the best i've had). While we did have to make reservations, once we got there, we were immediately seated by the amiable host!

I loved being seated outside. It's not totally outside, but there's that nice CA breeze and sun to enjoy.

Had the hamachi special. Great flavor with the olives and tomatoes. My friends had the steak and the fruitti de mar, which was great too.

Ben, the sommelier, was really nice. I didn't even ask to see him, but the moment I opened the menu, he was there to see if I needed any suggestions.

Also, the bar design was soo nice. They have fire right behind the liquor bottles...of course divided by this glass thing.

Since the one in Newport Beach closed I had to go to Los Angeles. They never disappoint you. The Dolce Salad is mixed salad , walnuts, goat cheese and balsamic vinegar/avacado. Also my favorite is the Bruschetta or the oven roasted egg plant.

Amazing food and a great ambiance!

We called in the early afternoon Saturday to make reservations for that night. They had a 7:15 left and a 9:30 so we took the 9:30. We weren?t familiar with the crazy LA traffic and we were 25 minutes late. I called to let them know and they said no problem. When we arrived the restaurant was fairly busy. I loved the low lighting and candles all over the place. Dolce has wonderful food! We ordered the pesto gnocchi appetizer and the pesto sauce was out of this world! Then I ordered a raspberry martini which was delicious and I'm normally not a big fan of martinis. I had chicken piccata for dinner and it was delicious! My husband ordered veal and he loved it! The creme Brule is superb! I really can?t say one bad thing about this place. Even the service is great. All our food arrived quickly. Our waitress accidentally dropped a fork on my foot and she brought us free fruity shots to apologize. You definitely can't go wrong here and this will be a place I visit every time I am in L.A!

Dolce has food influenced by traditional Italian cooking. The decor is interesting with a wall of candles. It is a great place for people watching as well as celebrity spotting!

I'm not a picky eater. I don't run to write comments on restaurants if I'm not seated promptly, if food is cold, or service is less than great. But this place, from the manager to the waiters is poor. There I said it.

I have been to this restaurant three times. The first time out of curiosity, the second time because a friend was having a birthday there, and the third because of a graduation dinner.

First the food. The food is nothing special. A group of 8 of us spent close to $800 on food. The waiter came out to check on stuff three times total. Our appetizers came out cold and late. Our food took close to an hour and a half to come out. Meanwhile we were ready to eat the f'in table by then. We were seated in an outside area away from the rest of the patrons, and the waiter seemed to ignore us. This happened actually all three times we were there. I don't know if it's by design or what?

Once the food got there, it was decent, but it was way overpriced. The manager was extremely rude. After dinner the place becomes like a little bar with music. It's open to about 1-1:30. At midnight, the manager kicked everyone out. And not in the nice way "we're closed". The place was poppin'. Like 50 people were there having a good time trying to buy drinks. The bar tenders REFUSED service to any guy. The only sold drinks to girls. They were total d*chebags, and even that's an understatement. Mind you, the people there were a group of doctors who had just graduated med school and a few other professionals (two different parties). Everyone was stunned when the manager just started yelling at people that the place was closed.

The worst experience ever. Please do yourself a favor and boycott this and all other Dolce Group joints.

Located on Melrose this place has such a cool ambiance with flames burning behind the bar. The food is delicious I usually get the fried calamari which come with shrimp and fried zucchini and the sauce is fantastic. I also love their pumpkin ravioli and all of the salads. The service is GREAT and everyone is very friendly. Would definitely recommend and the prices are reasonable. Valet or street parking.

Gorgeous decor - very stylish and trendy spot. Flames behind the bar are great to watch while you dine or sit out on the patio and enjoy a more peaceful setting. They keep the music cranking on the weekends but more low key during the week. The food is top-notch. Good portion sizes and I recommed the seafood or steaks really fresh and high quality ingredients. I know it is backed by celebrities but next month is the 5 year anniversary and I'd say it is carried by the food and service.

I went here alone for dinner, as I was in town for work. I wanted to try some different places that I had heard about. Everyone there was very nice to me - very attentive and at the right times. I had the calamari appetizer which is HUGE, but when I ordered it they did warn me about that - it was tasty none the less. I had the pumpkin ravioli with the sage-butter reduction - very good. They give you some bread and cheese with salami when you sit down. Only thing that caught me off guard is that when I asked for "flat" water, I found that I was charged $8.00 for the bottle of water - I guess I was expecting tap. The atmosphere is a little loud as they play music, but good music. Overall I enjoyed my dinner and felt very comfortable going there on my own - esp for 9:30 on a Friday night.

A few friends and I visited Dolce on a Thursday around 6pm, for dinner. There was nothing great about the food. It wasn't bad and it wasn't great and... Our table was a little dirty. I'm sure it's a great place for drinks and mingling. I wouldn't recommend eating there, though.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new, hoping for some tasty Italian food and interesting atmosphere. Unfortunately it felt more like an episode of Entourage rather than a fulfilling meal. This place is definitely for those who are more interested in "who's looking at you" and "who can I look at" and not for those of us who appreciate the culinary delight served up from the kitchen. Service was below average. Our waiter sounded like a nervous actor who forgot his lines. I'm not sure if I should blame management for their choice of staff members or just the staff themselves. Either way, if you're one to try out new things, you should go at least once. Have a drink from the bar, watch some interesting people eating dinner and if you have to eat, go on a Monday -- they only charge half price for the food menu.

This was an interesting experience. I had booked a table with my girlfriend on the Monday 50% off Food night. It seemed like the new promo was working but here is my review. We arrived at 7:30 for our 7:30 reservation and were sat within 10 minutes. It's funny how some restaurants will recognize an "opentable VIP" and some wont. I'm not saying I'm special but its the attention to detail that I have discussed previously in other reviews that makes a good experience a GREAT experience. In doing so we sat in the patio type area which had the really comfortable ikea plastic chairs (hint of sarcasm). Not the nicest area to be sat but I didn't kick up a fuss. We ordered a cocktail and i started with a beer. According to Dolce they don't cater to beer drinking customers as they had only 3 choices. The cocktail was a little bland but had plenty of alcohol which would be a good thing if I was trying to get my girlfriend trashed. The server was polite but seemed a little stretched with all his tables. We split the Caprese Salad and Beef carpaccio and I have to admit they were enjoyable. The Beef wasn't cut too thin and the salad was a good size. For Entrees i chose the Swordfish and she ordered the New York. Again, a pleasant surprise the swordfish was tender and had a nice smattering of vegetables but the New York was tough. We were in and out in an hour. Overall if I had to pay full price for the evening I wouldn't be going back. Nice promo but the noise, bad seating, and the cocktails were not enjoyable. It was obvious they were under staffed for the Promotion evening so maybe next time management should be aware. Good luck Dolce Group as I feel you need a complete executive make over...

I read some of the positive/negative reviews on here & I finally had to put in my 2 cents. Called to place reservations for my birthday in the springtime & spoke to a nice guy named Ben Lee. They were promoting online 'Ladies Night' that involved a special menu, shuttle to Les Deux, gift bag, & some other exclusive offers. Ben said some of the ladies nights events have changed over the course of time (no gift bags) but they would be most accomodating. I had a party of 5 & things started off on the right foot, when the 2 of us were placed at the bar before the rest of the party showed up. Bartenders were kind, & the patrons at the bar were quite friendly. When we were finally seated, the service was subpar, the food was average, & the shuttle to Les Deux had apparently already 'left', even though we had reminded the host & staff prior to being seated & they reassured us that they would let us know when it would be departing. I was pretty embarrased on the place of my choosing & one of my guests let someone named Lissa Nicolette know, & Miss Nicolette pretty much gave the attitude of, "We've been doing this Ladies Night for some time now, & this is the 1st complaint that we have had..." Of course, like all staff members @ the Dolce Group places, she conveniently didn't have a buisness card with her name on it (but I found out I had retrieved one at an earlier time while dining there prior.) I chose 2 stars because I had dined here a few times previously & enjoyed it enough to celebrate there. Looks like they couldn't handle a party of 5 ladies who aren't high maintenance, much less stand by what they were promoting online, admist the changes that were declared to me beforehand. I would recommend coming here...only when they do their 50% off on Monday nights when it may actually be worth eating...but check to make sure they are actually still doing that promotion...w/ the Dolce Group, you never know if what you read/hear is still what is going on...

Cons: Service beyond all means (except the busboy was considerate)

This place was absolutely perfect. I loved the scene and unlike the person below me, I love the uniforms; in fact, I purchased one of the cute Dolce tank tops that the servers wear. I loved the gnocci and the barrata platter. I will definitely be back. Also, I found out that all food items are 50% on Mondays!!! This place is a no brainer if you like great food, atomosphere and service.

Out of all the fine dining restaurants in the Hollywood area, Dolce's staff gives the absolute worst attitude.
Even with a reservation, you have to wait for almost an hr and a half before you can be seated. When you explain your discontent to the staff regarding the wait, the staff tells you this is what you should expect when you dine at "this type of restaurants".

There are always better Italian restaurants in Los Angeles, unless you want to look for rude treatment, DONT COME TO DOLCE.

We had heard a lot about Dolce and we glad when we were able to get reservations on a Saturday night although the woman taking the reservation was not quite as pleased and was somewhat rude. Maybe that should have been our first clue! Upon arrival we were taken to our table which was towards the back/side & were lined up about 2 ft apart. Our waiter was polite but somewhat unsure. To one side of us was a table for two & the other side a table for 5. 5 minutes after seating the other tables the staff came and asked the party of 3 to move since they needed the table for a bigger party! Then about 20 minutes after that we were being asked, along with the other party of 2 to move our table down a few inches so that they could make room for a party of three on the other side of the other couple. So now the tables are like 1 foot apart and were having to hold onto our drink glasses so they don?t get tipped over as we were shifting. Shortly after the shifting of the tables, a party of 5 was seated at the table next to us. When the sommelier was helping the table of 5 with the selection of their wine, his backside was in our face and I just found this to be annoying. Now if you?re into dinning with people you don't know and don't mind them hearing your conversations or you hearing theirs, then this is the place to be. We started with the lobster bisque and the Dolce Hollywood salad. For dinner we had the seared scallop scampi and the special giant prawns. While the food was great, the prawns were cut opened and grilled, but they had not been loosened from it shell. It was difficult to eat and somewhat messy. I was not able to finish my scallops & requested them to go. After the bill was brought, still no box. Overall, very impersonal & over rated. If you want a quiet and intimate place to dine then don?t bother.

This place is a joke... my seat had a 8 inch rip in the leather, the bus boy said it hadbeen there for years!
Wait till you see the server uniforms...Sammy Haggar Cabo Wabo meets Beach Boys CoCo Mos.
Plastic chairs in the BQ room, nice touch.
Crowd looks like cabo cantina... I had a guy come up to me and say "hey dude your underwear is not showing"
Apps were marginal...entrees were unseasoned...2 words for the Chef : Kosher Salt!

For a great veal chop in LA try Dan Tanna's

Not much else to say except they know how to treat their guests. Food was delicious, service was all around friendly and helpful, and the environment was LA minus the pretentiousness. Italian food is my jam so I have high standards. But here the pasta was al dente, the prosciutto melted in your mouth, and the dolce at the end of our meal were to die for. AND Puff Daddy was eating there when I was there, so that was kinda cool. Great night indeed and I will go back.

Ate dinner with some friends at Dolce last week. They have changed the menu a bit. Love the new style, its hard to decide what to get cause everything is so good.

I usually have fun in a restaurant no matter what because I'm with my friends. But after 4 consecutive mondays eating there, it dawned on me that Dolce is probably the most fun and REAL (combined) hotspot I've been to in LA after living in LA three years. It reminds me of New York in the way that the staff and the clientele seem to be on their best behavior because no one is bored like Dolce and its reputation are bigger than any ego there. Steven!!! is my favorite waiter so far but they've all been really caring and no one is robotic or "actory". Great wines by the glass (one of my observations of any quality place that serves wine) and it's nice to have service that knows more about their own wine and food than I do--which is not so likely anywhere. The caprese salad was fresh, clean and attractive. The filet mignon was gigantic and cooked perfectly medium rare--not to mention half price which a friend mentioned once and that's why we started going there. Prince (as in the artist formerly known as a symbol) was there two weeks ago. Even that felt normal there.

Pros: Fun (DJ, beautiful people (inside & out)) Real (gripping energy, friendly, not phony)

Cons: I'm no germ freak, but leather table cloths? is that safe? looks rich though. ;)

Erroneously decided to give Dolce another try after having a couple of dines with poor service in the past. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and was assured I would have an inside table (do not like the plastic Ikea chair atmosphere on the "patio"). They called to confirm day of reservation and assured me there would be no problem with a table inside. As usual, when we arrived, the very rude hostess tried to sit us on the patio. I explained that I was assured I would get an inside table, and was informed that it would be at least a half-hour wait for inside. After speaking with three different "managers", I finally got an inside table after at least 20 minutes of waiting. The only reason we even got sat was that I had to demand to be seated. This also happened on our last visit, I had to talk to various people and get upset just to be seated within a reasonable time of my reservation. The host/hostess staff here is the rudest I have ever encountered. When dining out, I want to be treated with respect and not have to get all worked up and angry just to get seated which completely ruins the mood of the night. The food at Dolce is just ok, so it is not like I will be missing anything. This will definitely be my LAST visit to Dolce ever.

If you have any self-respect, do not go to Dolce. My first "experience" there will be my last. The ONLY reason I did not call and complain to the other "manager" the day after my experience was because at the rate they are going, they will be closed in about another year or so anyways. Forget the fact that they are owned by celebrities and have a conglomerate of other restaurants to fall back on. Average food is just that: Average. Bad service on top of average food, no matter how great the "ambiance", is NOT worth paying for.

The manager at the time of my so called dining experience, Marco basically argued with me that the food was great (he had the sea bass earlier) and hinted that myself and my friend who was sharing the Sea Bass were the problem. (I guess he was psychic and could tell from the piece he ate 4 hours earlier that the piece we were trying to eat was overcooked and tasteless). I am a world traveled person who has had the opportunity to dine at some of the world's finest restaurants, but am by no means a food/wine snob. The manager's lack of concern for my group's experience at Dolce was unacceptable. Any good restaurant who takes pride in the business they chose to be in would have made sure the customer was satisfied, whether it was a founded complaint or not.

I will spend my money on the amazing establishments such as A.O.C., Blair's (Silverlake), or Cut.

So we have a reservation (made months in advance by one of our out-of-town members) for 4 people. Two of us are late, but Dolce refuses to seat the other two. They were stuck waiting for us (we were fighting traffic) to arrive before they could be seated. Anyway, I ordered the special, which was Chilean sea bass. I'm well aware that Chilean sea bass is pricey, but I love it so it's generally worth it. It comes, but has no flavor, and the consistency of halibut or some other dryer/cheaper fish. To the point that I even called the waiter over and asked him if they had mixed up my order and given me the wrong fish. He assured me that it was indeed the sea bass, but didn't ask if there was a problem. My friend also tried it and said, "Wow. I've definitely had better." I ended up having about three bites of it, my friend had a little, and between the two of us we left about 2/3rds of it on the plate. Called the waiter over and complained, so he took away the fish... and came back with the bill. And yes, we had been billed for the mostly uneaten fish - $39!!!! We call over the manager. The manager tells us that the fish was that night's special, and therefore VERY good. I still don't understand the logic of that. My friend did most of the talking, was very polite, respectful and to the point, but the manager was not even entertaining the notion that his precious fish was anything less than fabulous, refusing to give us a discount. After several minutes of debating back and forth (during which he did offer us one shot from the bar to make up for the uneaten meal!), he finally got tired of it and said he would discount it - 25%. So those few bites ended up costing $30 and an unpleasant experience.

Moral of the story - Dolce is just one more of those hyped up, overpriced Hollywood hot spots where you are paying for trendiness rather than quality.

P.S. A few days later I had Chilean sea bass at a different restaurant (not in HW) - it cost $25 and was out of this world.

I went here for my birthday this past weekend. To be fair, I will disclose that my whole party was late by 25 minutes, but we did call them to let them know. Our reservations were at 7:30.

When we walked in the hosts said "YOU DO REALIZE YOURE 25 MINUTES LATE, RIGHT?!". And to top it off, when we were being seated, he said "LADIES, I WANT YOU OUT BY 9:15".

First off, were not paying for rude service. And secondly, what manager says that? Given we did come late (and I accept full responsibilty for even though we called), who would say "I WANT YOU OUT AT 9:15".

To make for an even more entertaining night, before half of our table was even finished, the busers were clearing our table. When I said "Here you go sir, you can take my plate if you'd like". He replied "DONT CALL ME SIR". When we tried taking pictures after dinner, my friend asked why they were so insistant on getting us out so fast because it was 9:23 (Yes, I checked the time and the manager kept walking passed us and the bussers were waiting to clear the rest of the table) the same busser responded "IM SORRY, I DONT SPEAK ENGLISH". How ironic.. he was talking to me in English 5 minutes ago.

All in all.. Good food. Descent prices. Horrible service (minus our waiter)

This place is so great. Yes, the restaurant is beautiful, and thew scene is great, but I'm new to town, so I completely expected additude & hype when my friend took me here. I'm happy to say that this is not the case AT ALL. The staff is awesome - very friendly and helpful, and the manager Maurizio (sp?) is quite the personality. He's so adorable I just want to pinch him! The food was great too - I recommend the saffron risotto. Also, (true to the name Dolce ENOTECA) check out the great wines they have - awesome list, and they do wine dinners twice a month.

This place is really nice and trendy and the service is pretty okay but the food is not good at all. I think I could have had better italian food at Olive Garden for half their price. I came here with four of my friends and none of us enjoyed the food. Their food is extremely bland... definitely not worth the money.

This restaurant is a personal fave of mine and i live in LA. I love the decor inside and the waiters are so nice and friendly. I recommend the gnocchi, it is THE best i have ever had. It's also a great place to go with friends and just hang out and eat good food. It's very trendy and the ambience is really nice. And you don't really need a reservation, I've walked in before and have been seated immediatly or have called an hour before to make a reservation.

I went to this restaurant assuming the food had to be good since Ashton Kutcher is one of the owners. I assumed he wouldn't put his name on a restaurant with such horrible food. I was highly mistaken. From the moment we arrived, the service was below average, to say the least. We had a 9:00 pm reservation which was made weeks in advance and still waited an hour for a table. After finally being seated, I ordered the tuna tartare. Another huge mistake. This was the worst I've ever had in my entire life. I decided to try something else and ordered the ceasar salad. Horrible! I can't even describe how bad it was. Since this restaurant claims to be Italian, I opted for a simple Italian dish... something that most people could make at home, in hopes of it tasting better than anything else I had tried. I opted for the chicken parmesian. I mean, who can mess up chicken parmesian? I'll tell you who... Dolce! It was super greasy with way too much sauce, that tasted like it came from a jar, just awful. I decided to skip dessert because I can't imafine that it would have been better than the rest of the meal. I asked for my check and after waiting 15 minutes to get it when the restaurant was almost empty, I found that I was charged for 2 tuna tartare dishes, we only ordered one. I asked the waiter to correct the mistake. Another 15 minutes go by and the waiter returns to tell me that he can only refund me $11 of the amount of the tuna because the register was closed and that was all he had in cash. I thought it was a joke. Sadly, he wasn't kidding. The only thing that was half decent about this place was the wine list. I do not recommend eating here. The whole experience was horrific.

For anyone who wants the whole shabang! I had the best lamb chops I've ever had, along with a phenomenal bottle of Italian wine. My Girlfriend loved her Sea Bass which I believe was a special that night. The waiter was friendly and fun but gave us our space. On top of everything, we spotted a few celebrities. The perfect night out! The only reason I wouldn't give this place a 10 is because of the smoke. We sat in the patio section where they allow smoking after a certain time. For me I could live without it, but for those smokers out there, I'm sure they love it. I'll be back and I'll make sure to sit inside.

mhmm....what to say! Well, not tipical italian food...that's for sure. Tables are very tiny and to uncomfortable for a party of 4, specially if you are over 5'5' hehehe. Anyways....would not go back, I was not impressed at all.

What a great evening! We arrive and score the best parking spot I think possible on Melrose, arrive early is the trick, and enter. Our table was so-so tight up against the divider between the bar and the banquet seated dining area. Of course there are other spots in the house that had to be better, but we made do. The wine list was very interesting, my date found a bottle of wine he last had on Lake Como, and the entrees were the perfect serving (ahh Butter Sage Ravioli). Although our server had a fumble, he made it up with answers to our ridiculous questions about the restaurant and its elements. All in all a great dinner to start off a great evening.

Rude manager, and no service, dry nasty food...this pretty much describes your experience at Dolce...
If u want good food and friendly people, try any other restaurant in LA.
I have been to all the posh restaurants and I will tell you Dolce does not compare to any other posh restaurant...try Koi or even spanish Kitchen.

great for a date or special occaisson. this place has the "wow" factor, especially if you go after sundown hours. i recommend the gnochi pesto, chicken medalions, seabass and salmon. all the pastas i have had there are good as well. love the chocolate souffle, the choco tart is whatever. ...reasonably priced considering the ambience and quality of food. amazing wine selection.

BUT... if you are going for a romantic dinner, ask to sit away from the bar area or else you will be smashed up against the bar patrons and it is kind of awk and the patio seating is so cheesy with the lawn furniture-type chairs. i have definitely seen a change in the attitude of the servers towards groups (5+ people), who seem to think they are just as much a celebrity as the real ones they serve and act short tempered. and they lost their best waiter recently, hopefully someone will come and fill his shoes.

I had two relatives visiting from Italy and as any other tourist they wanted to see the Hollywood scene. I heard a lot about Dolce and decided to try it.
We were accomodated in a very comfortable booth and truly received spectacular service. The staff was a lot of fun and very professional, and I was happy to see that my waiter spoke Italian. It made it a lot easier to suggest the dishes to my guests.
I recommend to try the specials. I had a seafood risotto that was amazing, my cousin had a steak that was cooked perfect, and my aunt had some giant shrimp, I think they are called hawaian prawns that were just unbelievable. All this with a couple of bottle of wine and seeing Wilmer Valderrama and later on Heather Graham made for an unforgettable evening.
I cannot wait to go back.

This place is great. First of all the bar is surrounded by a wall of flames. This only helped me to see the hot bar patrons. I can't say enough about the food either. I am going back on a Saturday...I can only imagine what the scene is like then.

It's food, the ambience, & its service had brought me home that has long been forgot. I came down here with my nephew Big Mike. He talked me into it.Now I owe him (the boy) a favor. I'll be back to the City of the Angles, and the first place I going to bring my nephew (Big Mike) is back to Dolce on Melrose.

I've been to Dolce so many times I've lost count and always have a wonderful time. The food, drinks and service are always perfect. It's one of the few places in LA where the bartenders know how to make a Negroni and they always remember it's my favorite cocktail. The manager is a true gem, very friendly and he always remembers us! I always take out of town guests to Dolce and they agree: GREAT.

went to dolce again last night with some friends. we always have such a great time there. the bar tenders are totally cute, love that tall blond one, and the manager always stops by to say hi. my waiter was a really fun, cute guy and the food was great, we had this amazing chocolate thing for desert that was hot and so chocolatey with vanila icecream. i will keep going to dolce.

What can we say. Everytime we go here it is fabulous. The manager Maurizio is terrific. He is a delight to speak with. The service is always accomodating and the food is perfect. If you haven't been, make a reservation!

Pros: service, food, atmosphere

Having just come back from Italy, I can definitely say that the food at Dolce was comparable to the food I had over there. Loved the atmosphere and the interior of the restaurant-fire behind the bar, patio area, red room (made a reservation for my birthday), and the DJ they had that night was great. The service was great too. The three of us started out with the pesto gnocchi, white asparagus special, and the tuna tartare-all three were delicious! I had the special pasta that they were serving that night, and even though I was full from the appetizers I ate every last bit of my lobster filled ravioli. And even though I was full from that, we took the waitress up on her recommendation for the chocolate tortino, and it was the perfect way, besides our glasses of grappa, to finish the night.

Cons: crowded, can see why!

sadly disappointing - at first glance it's trendy and lively, but the organization is lacking and the hosts are incredibly rude. the wait staff did, however, do a great job trying to make up for it. unfortunately the food was REALLY salty - my fingers and toes were so swollen after! it's nice to look at but i wouldn't go back. definitely stay away if you have a large group b/c it's SO NOISY! forget about conversation!

This is such a fun place to have dinner! From the outside it looks like nothing but inside it is so cool! The "fire" bar, the music , and the food says it all. I could not believe how inexpensive our dinner was. GREAT FUN!

If trendy is what you're looking for, then Dolce is probably a good bet (someone saw Aaron Carter there). However, I was expecting something a little more intimate, which it definitely was not. The music is so loud you can barely talk to one another, and the plastic chairs are uncomfortable to sit in. The maitre 'd was also quite rude, taking away one of our chairs that a friend was already sitting in, but the rest of the staff was quite nice. The food itself isn't bad but not great - expect small portions, and do not order the fried basket (calamari, zucchini, etc), which came soggy. Also note that you will not be seated until your entire party is present.

First of all, I would like to say that the service was outstanding. The food was OK. I was disappointed by the portion sizes. I thought the food was WAY overpriced. We spent $312 for three people and only had a few drinks. That's pretty steep in my opinion. It is very trendy, so if that's what you're looking for then this is the place for you. If you're looking for good Italian food, I would look elsewhere.
