My absolute favorite place to get my boarding gear- the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and they always have the gear I'm looking for- it's a one stop shop for me- love it

This place is a specialty boot fitting place. If the boots you want don't fit, they'll mold them and customize them until they fit. The prices are competitive with Amazon also. I bought new boots and paid to have the insole custom molded to my foot. The rep took great care of me!

I ordered the Burton Indulgence pants in the color Vain from Doc's Ski Haus website. I paid full price for the pants and when they arrived last night, the back bottoms of the pants were dirty, like they had already been worn. The tags were still on the pants, but they were definitely not new. I hope this has been a mistake, but I do not trust Doc's Ski Haus integrity.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsby sheryl 09/10/2009\r
I moved to LA from Canada where I grew up skiing. After having not been on slopes for a lot of years, I was out of the loop regarding ski gear. I found Doc's Ski Haus and was surprised that they actually know a lot about skiing (and snowboarding). It's was a surpirse since the mountains are so far away. Cool shop. Love the dog!\r

Also it's the wrong address on yahoo it's actually 2929 Santa Monica Blvd.beside the Wine Expo

Pros: Cool staff and great gear

I brought my family in to get set up for our summer ski trip. Not only did we get what we needed, the staff was very helpful while we got clothes and gear for 3 kids, wife, and myself. The staff we worked with were actual skiers and really knew what they were talking about. They even had clothes for our 3 year old who is just starting out skiing. They also have a buy back program for when the kids are too big for the equiptment. Doc's was an awesome expirence and i felt taken care of and appreciated; not like other ski shops in LA.

Pros: helpful, phenominal service!

Cons: its not closer to my house!

The new Doc's Ski Haus is now open year round offering Orvis fly-fishing gear and expert guide services. Still the premier Ski retailer offering first-class equipment and clothing, they now stock kid's and more value priced stuff. Started rental's this year for first time ever. New owner in third season, family owned shop with new life.
Highly recommend supporting this business.

In the past I might not have recommended Doc's, but it is now under new management and the change is incredible. Good service and caring management go a long way! Plus the merchandise is great.

The personal service I have recieved there is outstanding.
Once you become a customer there you'll be one forever.

I had Doc's tune my skis once and never again. For one spot of P-Tex and a base grind / wax, they charged more than double what you'd pay on the mountain. That would be fine with me if they had done a good job, but they did not de-tune the leading and trailing edges on my skis and did not tell me that they hadn't done it. The end result is that I paid too much money and had a very exciting (in a bad way) first run after that tune up, just so I could get to the lodge and finish (for myself) what Doc's should have done in the first place.

Maybe it was just one lazy tech, but I'll never go to Doc's again.

This shop is so close to my house that I was reluctant to drive elsewhere to compare prices. However, I'd bet that Doc's shop is the priciest in town. For the life of me, I could not find a ski jacket that was under $600. The pants alone cost me $300. Needless to say, my bank account was hit hard. I had to wait for my paycheck to purchase the $90 gloves, one of which I lost at a gas station the next day. The employee kept handing me a size 42 even though I told him I wanted 44. He claimed that it was the last one. Then I found a size 44 myself. He blamed his poor eyesight.
