After my first appointment the dentist explained the following:
My 4 top front teeth are extremely small, fragile and painful. This is due to severe grinding. Mind you that I had had several gaurds some very $$ and some not so. I bit through them all the same! Treatment from him included having an endodontist perform 4 root canals before he could continue with his plan. This was 2 weeks before X-mas 2006. The dentists plan was to crown all 4 and one of my back teeth after the root canals. I had the root canals done 1 week before x-mas. I then called and called and called never having a return call for 6 weeks. Finally I got an appt. 3 weeks later and they faxed the plan and required 1/2 of the money upfront before he would do the work. OK! Total cost was $900 for my root canals not bad and the dentist wanted 1/2 of $2020.00 and the balance time of service. I paid him. My next appointment he decided I need steel posts in my front teeth. This took 3 hours keep in mind my 4 root canals took 45 minutes by Dr. Kang(excellent). Before I left the office manager came and explained he didn't want to do anymore work for the day to give me a break and he changed my plan! Ok, He now wanted $300 more per tooth and insisted I buy his night gaurd for $600. Now my $2020.00 plan was $3820.00 not including my $900 root canals. I said that I didn't want the more expensive crowns and that I wasn't going to buy the $600 gaurd because I had a less expensive one from the pharmacy and that I would rather by a $30 one every 6 weeks vs. $600. The dentist had no gaurantee on his guard. After, all this I went to see him again. He told me because I couldn't afford the gaurd he would wait until I saved enough money up to buy it and then he would complete the work on my teeth. When I explained I didn't want the gaurd he told me he would refund my money and go on my way. I was so upset I cried. Here I was with having had all this pain, expenses, inconvenience which was worth it to have a new smile and no pain to all of the sudden wham shot down. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE DENTIST OFFICE TO ANYONE. HE IS A MONEY HUNGRY DOCTOR! HE IS RUDE AND SELF CENTERED.
I have reported him to the Board and I hope they put him out of business.
Sincerely,
Jolynn F.

This is the dentist we are contracted to use now through our insurance. After the first of the year we are switching. First, it takes about three months to get an appointment. Second, they moved the office and did not notifiy me.

Lastly, I took my daughters and myself in for a checkup. By the time they got to me they told me they did not have time to clean my teeth that I would have to make another appointment. Then they told me my daughter had to have a filling. I was given the estimate and it was pretty high. I called my insurance company and read them the codes off the estimate. This dentist wanted to put a porcelin filling in a back baby tooth! A tooth that would soon fall out! I called the dentist back and told them I wanted a plain silver filling. They did not seem too happy.

My husband just has his check up. Once again they told him they WOULD NOT clean his teeth because he needed a deep cleaning.
