Cafe Sevilla has been located in the heart of Downtown San Diego's vibrant Gaslamp Quarter since 1987. Travel to Spain with Cafe Sevilla, and join us for an evening to remember.
It's been a while that i been to cafe sevilla. But i can say all the times i have been there its been a very good experience from the food to the drinks and the night club. I think the dance floor is ok in size.

i love this place. they got great food for dinner and after you can dance all the calories off! The decoration of the place is also very festive. The music is nice and loud. The crowed hold males and females of all ages. Drinks are kind of expensive but strong. The dance floor was a nice size also.

A group of us went here for Tapas and it was a blast.
Not only was the food really good but the whole atmosphere was
great for a party.
Cafe Sevilla is must stop when you go to the Gaslamp.

When you think Spain, you think Matadors, sweet Sangria & Flamenco dancers! I have been a frequent patron of Sevilla for years and I am a huge fan of their Cheese Fundido & Sauteed Mushrooms al Ajillo. They offer live flamenco shows downstairs on Fridays & Saturdays yet I would suggest trying the upstairs area that hints of romance. Old rustic lighting fixtures and hand-painted murals will inspire your your dinner and choice of drinks... try their aged Rums!

Cafe Sevilla Restaurant has some excellent tapas. I love occasionally coming here with friends to enjoy some great food. The price is reasonable. But if you're extremely hungry you probably won't satisfy your hunger with a single tapa dish. Its great to mix it up and share!

I don't think I've ever had a bad time at this place. You can salsa and eat or go downstairs later on in the evening to dance with your friends. The atmosphere is awesome and the crowd is cool!
PROS: Food

The tapas were of the quality and type that I would've found in Spain (traveled there recently); the atmosphere was dim and noisy so not a very "romantic"-type restaurant if you will but still very nice. The food was superb; we started off with three tapas-- tortilla espanola, chicken croquettes and patatas bravas (potatoes in a spicy mariana sauce). The tortilla was great; I couldn't get enough of it. Our main course was paella for two, which was more than enough-- we had to take some home! I wouldn't categorize it as very expensive, definetely more expensive than tapas in Spain but expect to pay around $5-7 per tapa.
PROS: yummy spanish food
CONS: dim, small tables

Wonderful atmosphere, quick service, great food. Everything you need for a Romantic Night out in Beautiful Downtown San Diego. Cafe Sevilla Specializes in Spanish Cuisine. Their menu has a wide range, but again, specializes in the traditional Spanish Cuisine. I recommend the Lobster Bisque to start. Although a little expensive, it is well worth the money and sometimes the wait.

Gorgeous, romantic decor. Excellent service and very tasty food. I highly recommend the paella, stuffed dates, tuna tartare, pulpo gallega, and lamb skewers. The brocheta presentation is unique.
The free rewards program is a great deal ... a point for every dollar spent. Once you hit 100 points, you get $15 loaded on your card. $15 paellas on Mondays and $10 Brochetas on Sundays!! I can't wait to take advantage of that!
Love the ambiance at Cafe Sevilla. I have been here with friends for a casual night out or for business meetings. Great place! Check there website for specials and nightly entertainment.
Pros: small plates
Awesome restaurant. The service and food were outstanding. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic evening. Definitely the place to take your wife or a date you are trying to impress.
Pros: very tasty and authentic Spanish cuisine; top notch service
Cons: nothing
Where else can you eat great food upstairs and then go downstairs to be transformed into another world with live music? All I have to say is tapas in the bar upstairs (get the dates) with live music late night, and salsa dancing with live music downstairs. Amazing time to be had, feel like you are in Europe!
Pros: Feel like you are in another country
Cons: Busy
Sevilla was the perfect evening for my husband and I. The portions were perfect and allowed us to try many things on the menu. The prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. Everything about the atmosphere was enjoyable: music, decor, very romantic. Most of all the food was AMAZING. Very flavorful and unique. Even simple items such as the fresh bread and dipping sauces was to die for. Great location in Gaslamp, close to many other bars too. You have to try this restaurant.
Pros: Service, food quality, ambience
Cons: Make reservations...it gets busy!
I must tell you, I have been a frequent patron at Cafe Sevilla and I am always content when I leave.
How can you not love the romantic, authentic ambiance and the friendly bar staff? I would HIGHLY recommend the Cheese Fundido & Shrimp Brochetas... ohh, what lovely presentations!
Pros: ambiance and service
Cons: parking
We chose Cafe Sevilla for a less formal option while at a conference out in San Diego and had a great time. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was WONDERFUL! I would recommend this to anyone!
Pros: The food!
I have been to Cafe Sevilla several times and for the most part really enjoyed it...until this past time. I used to work in a restarant and understand that the server's job is to upsell but our server took it much further. We ordered a round of mojitos and asked for the regular rum. Throughout the evening he pushed other upgrades to us but we passed. When the bill came, there was nearly $40 in upgraded rum fees. When we brought it up to the server, he said that he ordered us the top shelf and we asked to speak with the manager. The manager said he would take care of it and then when the bill came back, it was more expensive!!! Then he disappeared and we couldn't get a hold of him again. It was the most ridiculous experience ever. It took 45 minutes of back and forth to clear up the mess. The tapas are great and so are the cocktails but the constant push to upsell and poor taste of the server to charge us for stuff that wasn't ordered ruined my experience at Cafe Sevilla.
Pros: Great tapas and drinks
Cons: Poor management
San Diego in May allowed me to sample some of this wonderful restaurant's sangria and paella. The atmosphere is electric, everyone having a great time, and you can see why. The food is great, paella was amazing; almost as good as being back in Spain. Sangria was good enough to make the night a bit blurry after dinner. Do try this place, it is worth it!
What a wonderful dining experience we had. The food was excellent and served promptly while still hot. The service staff was very attentive and responsive to every request. The flamenco show is definitely one you don't want to miss. The Sangria is out of this world. Needless to say I had my share of it
This was our second visit and our out of town guests were impressed and had a great time.
Pros: Service, Excellent food, prompt seating with reservations
Cons: Parking
