Santana's was on my "regular" list for years even though what you ordered wasn't what you got allot of the of the time.
Nowadays...not so much. the Joshua Tree Restaurant is just bad all around in general. They use so much salt in everything it is inedible. Even plain old refried beans are enough to gag you. Ask for fried shrimp and it is nearly black and the size of a postage stamp by the time they are done w/ it. It's a shame to start with such good food and ruin it . Mexican food is not rocket science to cook.

We ate here several times on our visit to Twenty Nine Palms.I tried several items,my favorite being Huevos Rancheros.One word of warning the Chile Rellanos were so hot my wife couldnt finish hers.

If you go there for nothing else, you must try the Carne Asada Fries! If you are on a diet....forget it though...cuz you'll blow it! I have never eaten inside, only been through the drive through, but the drive through is fast and convenient and we have never had a problem.

this place is packed every night and takes about 20 minutes to get through the drive thru, but it is worth it and 24 hours!!! Recommend the Carne Asada plate and the carne asada California Burrito...Excellent Mexican Food!
