3 Stars: Eclectic (by Tamar S.)

Its a very eclectic place, and you have to be into that scene. They have pretty good coffee and tea, though it might be a bit overpriced. The cafe is kept very dark with an adjoining room where people can sit on pillows.

3 Stars: Uh Oh! (by Erin + Jack L.)

I don't know about the coffee or service or swill at "The Pig."

But when you slink drunkenly in (at what I now see must have been after 8AM on a Saturday morning) to hide from the sun and surreptitiously keep the party going in the wonderfully dark and bedecked back room...

...they should really warn you about the folks gathering there for an NA meeting. Oops.

4 Stars: Social coffeeshop (by Thad S.)

This isn't the place to go if you're looking for a quiet place to read. It's generally pretty social tucked away on the Franklin Village strip. The prices are reasonable and the service is pretty good. The decor is great. The room in the back right of the shop is great for coffee and conversation.

5 Stars: Dark, cozy, cool (by S F.)

I love the Bourgeois Pig! Cool atmosphere, relaxing environment and good people watching. Never too crowded or too trendy, had a real coffee house feel. And of course - the coffee is great.

4 Stars: (by Douglas H.)

This is definitely a "different" coffee house, appropriate for Hollywood. The interior is very dark, with long tables shared by writer-types on laptops and artsy folks with sketch pads. There are pool tables and computers with paid internet services. The coffee is quite good- try the macchiato- though the servers sometimes focus on their "regulars" sitting at the bar rather than the growing line. The have a variety of snacks and light meals- I really liked the vegetable sandwich I got that came with these cool veggie chips. It is a little pretentious in here and the music is sometmes loud. Still, its a fun place to come with friends for good coffee and a non-standard environment.
