Silverlake Coffee Co

This busy little cafe owned by a sweet and friendly Korean family provides real atmostphere and coziness and is almost always busy. Silverlake Coffee sits next to a quirky used book store with which it shares a great two-tier outdoor patio (perfect for leisurely reading on a Sunday afternoon). It also features good coffee (from mild and refreshing to full-bodied and strong), an array of packaged and loose-leaf teas, the usual as well as unusual food selections (try the Korean BBQ wrap, it's delicious!), and free wi-fi access for leisurely web browsing from your laptop. If you don't have a laptop, they also provide two pay-to-use internet stations.

PROS: Cozy atmostphere, good coffee and tea, free wi-fi
CONS: Can get crowded, sometimes cold, and sometimes dark on cloudy days
