First time shoppers for a kitchen appliance. OK experience inside store. Opened a Lowe's credit card to save a little money. Ready today for promised delivery between 2:30-4:30 pm. Delivery company so overbooked, appliance delivered @ 7:45pm. Very competent, helpful guys from delivery company. They leave @ 8 pm. We start looking closely at fridge it, and upon examination, inside of appliance is dirty, with scratches and black smudges/streaks in inaccessible areas. How is that possible?
Second part, employee who processed c.c. app. found our (admittedly long) address didn't fit on one line. Emp. looked @ next possible street name, arbitrarily decided it must be that name, processed the c.c. and started the billing process. First we find that our son receives a confirmation of the c.c. @ his old business add., which is forwarded to new business address. How & why did this go to a business address? That starts our investigation. Seems c.c. and bill went to someone else in our neighborhood with same numbers, but different street name. Both letters are still floating around somewhere. Next, we have to talk to INDIA about this. We find that our payment is due in the store kkon Dec. 25! Christmas Day? How? Why? Still no receipt of new or old c.c. or bill. Appliance WILL BE RETURNED; c.c. WILL BE CANCELLED; we WILL NEVER SHOP @ Lowe's again! Call to store short time ago, and emp. starts lying about why it would be dirty, says that "del. co. attempted del. a previous day, but we weren't home." Nooo, because we never got a call about del. on a DIFFERENT day than what was originally scheduled! App. will be picked up in a day, and we still have to manage this billing debacle! Would you shop @ a business that is run with such ineptitude?
Latest: found a dent in side of app.! Also a long, black hair in vege. drawer! This is most certainly a 2nd hand app.!!!

In San Marcos on March 27th went to look for interior paint and the department manager Jason would not help in finding the color of paint needed because it was not from your store. Very rude and agrogant and my husband works for a very big company that spends a great amount of money at your San Marcos Store. We will seek other options to find other sources of our paint needs and other supplies. And because of what has happend I will take our companys needs to other places as needed. But I will not be talked too like that. We are a paying customer as well regards less of race or color.

For the longest time, we only had Home Depot to go to for home improvement (or the smaller Dixieline), for all we knew, it was okay. Then came in the Lowe's, unlike Home Depot, they look clean, they smell clean, and you don't have to chase down a salesperson to get some assistance.
Lowes is always kept very clean, very bright, and there are salespeople everywhere. If you don't see someone where you are, press one of those little red flashy lights, and you will be helped within a minute (they are graded on it). I go there often for work, and have noticed the employees are very personable, and appear happy to be working.
I can't tell you how many times I have been in Home Depot, asked a question, and was told I should go to this other place down the street (either they didn't carry it, or even they wouldn't buy what they have). If Lowes doesn't have something I'm looking for, then it probably doesn't exsist, and they tell me what I should do (if Lowes doesn't have it, there is no way Home Depot will have it).

PROS: Friendly, Knowledgable and Willing to Help
CONS: Not Enough Locations - but probably working on that
