I've used Bryan's for several years, mostly for the convenience of home pick-up and delivery. Their deliveryman knows where to pickup and drop off the bags, and I don't have to be there, so it's quite a time-saver.

They generally do a decent job.

BUT -- on at least 8-10 occasions through the years I get shirts back w/ serious tears in them that they didn't have when they left my house. These are always button-down collar shirts, and the tears are near one button or the other, visible, not reparable, about 2" in length. The shirt is ruined. Sometimes these are shirts I've had a few years, so they have a bit of wear (but not in this area); sometimes they're perfectly OK except for the new tear I find when I unpack the bundle.

They are defensive and frankly rude about this, insist their equipment and handling are fine, but I find that preposterous. It looks like someone or something is malfunctioning, and the shirts get snagged in about the same spot, probably on some pressing machine, and torn. They could care less.

This last time the deliveryman (who's gotten a decent bonus evry XMas) had the gall to tell my wife -- even before the package was opened -- that there was a rip, and that we had sent it out in that condition; Total BS. A very nice shirt, too.

I'm sure if this has happened so often to my shirts that's it's happened to other patrons' as well. Nothing really unusual about mine.

So, that's the last straw, and we'll find someone else.

I recently moved to this area and my friend recommended Bryan's. So, I went without getting other referrals. Boy, what a shocker when I picked them up. I don't pay that amount for shoes let alone dry cleaning. They charged $150 for 16 pieces. They charged $12.95 for one sweater!! They were nice and the job was well done, but they are definitely are out of my price range. I was so upset when I got home, I called to tell them that their prices are outrageous and with the cost of living today, gas and food, they ought to be ashamed of themselves!! She was very nice but nothing she can do!

Quality of cleaning was okay but you can get the same for better prices within a couple blocks of this place. Try Arroyo Cleaners just down the street on Arroyo Parkway. It's a mom and pop shop and they do great cleaning for much less.

Just awful. Created a hole in my jacket since they use pins. I tried them several times since they seem to be really nice there. My clothes did not seem to get cleaned very well. But one time I got my clothes back, uncleaned!!! That was it. I used the San Marino and the Arroyo Parkway locations.

Cons: Clothes don't get cleaned. Holes can be formed.

My recent favorite place to dry clean. Does a good job, and even repairs sewing! Leaves some dust hairs on clothes, but minimal. Small parking lots at both the Pasadena and San Marino locations which are not very convenient.

They do a great job with cleaning hard to wash clothing like wedding dresses, tuxedos, and the like, but they charge a lot! I know that they deliver your cleaned items to you, as well, which could be useful for busy people who work 9-7 like I do.

This is one of the few dry cleaners I have been to where my clothes actually smell clean when they come back. They are on the expensive side, but I think it is worth it for a job well done! They also have very good customer service. They stretched out a dress of mine and had no problem altering it, whereas many other cleaners I have been to who have ruined clothes have given me a hard time about correcting their mistakes.

Bryan's is an excellent dry cleaning service with one or two satellite locations in Pasadena. I had a situation where I had just dropped off two suits and found out the next day I needed them back by the next evening due to a family emergency. They were very accomodating and rushed the cleaning so I had the suits back in time. Pleasant family run environment and a pleasure to to business with.
