I bought last year's Halloween costume from here. A Star Trek outfit. The sales man at the counter was friendly. Didn't greet me, but was old and he was a nice person. The other salesperson on the floor helped me to find a nice costume that looked futuristic but wouldn't break my budget. She helped me to find my Star Trek outfit. I struggled between this one and Darth Vader, but Darth was simply too expensive. I would recommend this place to a friend.
They have everything. A huge selection of costumes and decorations. I love going to this place and finding random accessories and items to go with my homemade costume and even purchase an entire outfit once because it was just too good to pass up. They have every type of costume you could imagine, plus its a lot of fun to play around in the store.
This is a unique place! They have the best selection of party gear and accessories, also ideas for planning your party including favors, gag gifts, and novelties. I love the selection of long gloves and hosiery. They have all you need for Halloween too like water gun flowers, plastic stethoscopes, ugly Austin Powers teeth, or feather boas line the aisles. They change stock frequently enough where you never know what you might find! They have costumes for kids through extra large adults, and it's worth the trip if only for inspiration!
PROS: Nice store with lots of stuff to choose from
CONS: Located on a main road with only street parking
This place sells random pranks, odd things like plastic swords, wigs, masks and a bunch of other peculiar stuff. The prices are decent. I bought a fake lottery ticket... that worked flawlessly. Very sadistic but I recommend. There is also an adult section for those looking for some added fun. haha. On top of that there is an old-time coca-cola machine where you put a few quarters in and get a glass bottled cola. Very cool. It's a very fun store to browse in and you will almost certainly find at least one thing that you would want to use for something.
This place is SO much fun. My friends and I consider it as one of our hangouts - until they kicked us out..but that's another story. For Halloween, ANY costume you need, you'll find it here, and the salespeople are willing to help you (sometimes grumpy, but that's also another story :)...it's fun to bring all your friends here and take pictures in wacky costumes, but don't be too loud.
With no traffic on El Camino, this store is 10 minutes away from Stanford's campus. Great supplier of costumes and accessories and it's family-run, so if you have a bulk order (in my case, 20 over-sized sombreros), you can call ahead and they'll have it waiting at the counter when you arrive. Easy street parking too.
