Super Movers

At first adam my sales rep scared me with a quote over $1000 than the other movers I had consulted; partner, US1, Delta, and movingexperts. We werent really considering Super Movers, because cost was an issue. The more investigating we did, the questions the other companies couldnt answer so easily, and so we ended up allowing adam a few minutes to tell us about Super Movers, and to hopefully explain why they thought they were $1000 better. It turned out, adam said that his price was not an estimate of what I wanted to hear, but an estimate of the actual costs he expected us to incur. Shuttle fee at delivery was included, 10 packed picture boxes, Mattress covers as well as Stairs on delivery included. Looking back, getting a full comprehensive estimate, was exactly what we wanted, but we were treating our move like we were going shopping for a desk and tried to price compare it, when in reality we weren't paying for an item, but a service that we shouldn't have been measuring like it was the same thing with a different price; but a service. In the end we received our belongings, delivered within the dates we had requested and had no surprises on delivery. Thank you.

So my husband and I decided that the housing market was too steep for us and started searching for a new place and some movers. We called 4 companies, 1 refused to send a visual estimator to our district "bayview," but the others came. Super Movers showed up, upon entering our home, asked if he should remove his shoes, it was very polite. Super Movers was $20 more expensive an hour, so my husband decided on the other company. They took a deposit, and we called them on the day we were suppose to move, they moved our date for 3 days, we couldnt move out after the 1st, so it was my pleasure to call Super Movers. I got ahold of the great estimator Jacob, he arranged with local dispatch to do our job the next day, and they did a great job, I can tell why they needed an extra $20, the men were clean, professional and spoke english! Although I hope to never move for awhile, Super Movers will be my #1 pick.

I see this company has a lot of complaints!!! I would not recommend anyone using this company do to this.. Also they recently ripped off my girlfriend Leslie. That is a shame, it's bad enough we have a corrupt world out there I guess you can add Super Movers to the corrupt list. I feel sorry for whoever uses this company.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY CONTRACTED THEM AND THEY RIPPED YOU OFF AS THEY DID MY DAUGHTER, REPORT THEM TO BBB, TAKE A LAW SUIT FOR YOUR LOSS AND MAKE SURE YOU PLACE THEM ON EVERY BLOG YOU CAN FIND. THEY SHOULD BE FINED FOR DOING WRONG TO PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING. THEY KNOW ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE AND THEY ARE THEIR WAY TO THEIR NEW DESTINATION AND HAVE ONE IN THEIR MERCY!

SUPER MOVERS S. SAN FRANCISCO ARE WORSE THAN BANK ROBBERS! THEY SUCKER YOU INTO A DECEITFUL CONTRACT. They were contracted by family to move my young sister on 3/28/08 from Bakersfield, CA to CT. Movers were not in uniform, were UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL-asking for TIPS, asking for CASH UP FRONT in order to take everything my sister had. They saw her vulnerable and young and took advantage. Asked her for an additional $300 in cash, or they would not take ALL of her items. When $300 was refused to them, they immediately ADDED MORE WEIGHT AND REFUSED TO LOAD THE REMAINING ITEMS. They were contracted for a total of 1400 lbs. and upon delivery on 3/11/08 in CT, they asked for an additional $750 over the $1400 already contracted. It's sad to say that my sister's total weight in CT was re weighed by CERTIFIED CO.-BUTLER and her items were ONLY 1,070 lbs. under the original CONTRACTED WEIGHT! Needless to say, family ended up paying the $750 or her things would not be loaded to the trailer. Movers did not want to wait to see the TRUE weight, made excuses and left after being paid $750. CEO was contacted several times. However, he had a WORSE ATTITUDE THAN HIS STAFF WHEN CONFRONTED! He has not returned calls, has not made it right and prefers to be sued! I don't understand how this company is has been getting away with highway robbery and their license has not been REVOKED? CEO, Jack Mochel, does not believe in fairness. DON'T CONTRACT THIS COMPANY. They're BAD to the bone! Call ALLIED VAN LINES they are HONEST!

SUPER MOVERS SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ARE THE BIGGEST RIP OFF IN USA! I don't understand why they are in business and haven't had their license revoked. They are UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, RUDE, and DECEITFUL! We paid to have our daughter move from Bakersfield, CA to CT. Her weight was below the 1400# allowed at $1100 total. However, when movers picked up they asked for an additional $300 IN CASH to move items from her garage, valued at $5,200. She didn't have the $300 so had to leave behind. Her flight to CT was scheduled same day, therefore had no time to make arrangements for storage. Needless to say, owner, JACK MOCHEL, was as RUDE as the movers! He refused to listen to complaint. He stated that our daughter had gone 280# over and if he didn't get paid $750, her things would not be delivered. Upon delivery, we had a trailer, which was previously weighed by licensed scale. Her original weight, which was to be 1400# totaled 1,070#, under! Yet, SUPER MOVERS received $750 extra! Owner will not reimburse the difference nor will he listen to the truth. This move has been a NIGHTMARE! Owner stated, "GO AHEAD AND SUE ME!" That is exactly what will take place if he doesn't make it RIGHT! DO NOT USE SUPER MOVERS, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!

ADVICE: This company has a LOT of complaints by the BBB if that says anything. I recently filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau myself because they are questionable and I want to keep others like me from making the same mistake. Please check out moving companies by their reviews before using ANY company. I didn't have a lot of expensive irreplaceable items, but it's just not worth the headache with their attitude and they are so incredibly rude.

Please please please also look at movingscam.org, which specifically lists disreputable companies. I noticed that Super Mover's claim management company is considered one of the worst to deal with.

STORY: The problem is once they have your items you can't close the contract and get your stuff until you fully pay them, and then there's no way to get your $$ back. I hired them for a long-distance move from LA to Seattle. Their sales staff is actually very nice and appears to be quite professional, but the actual people you deal with after they have your money is a different story. I also had the same problem as Selina V where I would call them to ask when they would deliver my items. They never called me back after two requests, told me to call dispatch and stop calling them directly. When I did speak to the extremely rude and hostile dispatch person he told me that I needed to wait around until they called me the day before my items arrived!They also will charge you for things along the way so it ends up being considerably more than the estimate. They never actually told me the final weight of my items even after several requests. I was not at the pickup location when they picked up the items, but they somehow tacked on an extra fee for having them pack the items and never explained the fee. They packed a mirror with a framed picture with NO PADDING WHATSOEVER. So when the mirror was delivered, the glass was completely shattered in hundreds of pieces and the frame was cracked. Even the subcontracted driver was shocked that they had "packed" it that way, and said that the long-distance movers know they won't get repeat business, so they usually get the fees and then don't pack your stuff well. And this was from the driver!!I went through their Anthem Claim Management company to try and get my money back for the mirror and packing charge and Anthem stated that even though we paid them $130 to pack the items (they originally quoted us $100 and never explained the extra $30 charge), they wouldn't give us back anything except the $0.60 per pound for the mirror and that the packing issue wasn't going to be issued and "you can't do anything it so don't waste your time". Unbelievable. Apparently when you sign the documents it doesn't mean they're actually going to provide the service they agree to. On top of that we are also missing a file cabinet and the top of a lamp - they delivered the lamp stand but kept the lampshade.

This was one of the worst experiences I ever had.We not only had to help them load into their truck, but they had also promptly lost all the legs to ALL our NEW furniture which means that I am now without sofa legs and table legs. In this one move, they have effectively rendered all my major furniture (3 months old) redundant.

I am not rich, these furniture were the only few things I own. We had taken a long time to consider and select these items, and these were still under an installment plan.

We moved from Las Vegas to California and they turned up at our apartment complex with a huge 85ft (with cab) that blocked up the entire condo entryway and could only get up to 300 ft away from our apartment.

This meant that we had to help them load stuff onto our own car and then unload to reload into the truck. We had no choice as they had turned up on a Sat afternoon when there was no way for them to get another truck. If they were really that professional, they would have at least called to check if the size of this massive truck was even possible to get in the condo! They insisted on putting all our furniture legs into a seperate box and then put all our boxes into random slots into the truck. There was no designated area for us, they were putting in all sorts of nooks and craanies they could find to get the best out of this one trip.

When we got to LA, we had to deal with grumpy movers who spent their whole time whining about how tired they were and that they did not want to do this job but there was nobody else to do it. The coffee table was smashed on the side and no one was bothered about the missing legs. To add insult to injury, we were required to pay them even when it was obvious that the most essential items were missing.

We spent a long time trying to trace them but all we got were a smug suggestion to just make a claim on these through insurance. We had stupidly used the minimum after their recommendation, afterall, it was only a small move to LA with the furniture, a bed and some books.

We must have called them over 10 times, and all we got were a pat reply that they will make a note to all their movers if anyone has seen them. At no point had anyone bothered to trace back the route to see if it was left behind,

We were very patient and called them over 8 weeks. I had to plead and nothing happened. When I got angry and confronted the girl that she did not bother to trace, she slammed the phone down on me. It's appaling. When I called back to complain, the person who picked up the phone gave me a ficticious name. That was incredibly immature.

THE MOST UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE EVER. You have been warned. Next time I will just rent a uhaul.

I contracted this moving service for a local move of a family member and they saved us from a last minute disaster when our other movers backed out and we had to be out of the premises. They put in a full day and stayed until the job was completed. Our belongings were treated delicately and I would trust them again with any move I made and with any household items.
