I recently went through the guantlet of a new car purchase and had resigned myself to take a deal that was less than ideal. Before taking delivery of my new Prius, I got a call from Dana at DCH Toyota of Torrance, who politely asked if he could help with finding my car. I explained the situation, as well as the deal I wanted, which he said he could match. And that's exactly what he did. He didn't bargain with me, he didn't try to pressure me into another car when it became difficult to get the one I wanted...instead he drove to San Diego to swap it out with another dealership. He even washed it himself after the paperwork ran late that night. Their entire staff was friendly, professional and very glad to help however they could. I could not be happier about my DCH Toyota of Torrance experience and can't recommend them strongly enough!! Thanks to all!

We bought a car from CarMax, and then my husband actually got a quote for the same model at DCH for WAY LESS, so we went to check it out. Mark, the online sales manager, sat with us and a Sales associate (Mark can't actually sell cars, but the Sales assoc's can) and he made sure that we got exactly the price he had quoted us. We returned the other car to CarMax, and bought the DCH one instead! The car we ended up with was NEWER than the CarMax car and had LESS miles on it by thousands! Not to mention the priceless Toyota-certified warranty, which CarMax doesn't offer unless you pay some ridiculous amount. Mark and the Sales associate stayed past the dealership's hours to help us work through all the paperwork (we got there late after being at CarMax all day, and since it is our first big purchase as a married couple, we were nervous and read ALL the fine print). Mark and the associate were very patient with us and kind, and answered all of our questions. I didn't want the car alarm because it increased the price, and they were happy to remove it for me! Any time you are making a large purchase like this, you should ALWAYS read all of the paperwork. When you work with humans, there will always be human errors (ever made a mistake at YOUR job?), so be smart with your money and read things you sign your name on! There was a discrepancy on our paperwork, but my husband caught it and the finance guy corrected it immediately and apologized for the error. It was a REALLY great experience, we learned a lot, and they were all very gentle with us. No one tried to influence our decisions at any point, and they were helpful and patient. I would definitely go here again, but I highly recommend getting a quote from Mark first! He is the nicest guy, and you can tell the second you meet him, and he really tries to give customers the best deal possible. We wanted him to get a good commission from us when he helped us get such a low price, and he reassured us that he doesn't GET commission on the cars since he doesn't actually sell them, the Sales people do. That's a pretty darn good guarantee that he has no incentive not to give the lowest price! And just wait til you meet Mark, you'll wanna hug him!! My husband and I both did, and he spent so much time helping us throughout the deal that we feel like great friends now! Where else have you ever heard of people feeling like great friends with the guy at the car lot?? Haha PS: I LOVE my new Yaris!!! Thank you, Mark!!!!

We purchased 2 used Priuses from Dch Toyota of Torrance in 10/2010, and a new Camry from their predecessor in 2000.

SALESMAN: Mr. Hudson Lee initially sold the first Prius to my spouse. I wanted her to only consider a new Toyota. Mr. Lee asked her what her main use would be for the car, and some other pertinent questions while he showed her the cars that I thought were appropriate. Then he suggested she consider a used Prius that Dch had just received. His reasoning was that it had car pool stickers and would shave off 15 to 30 minutes from her daily 1-way freeway commute because she could use the car pool lane. Mr. Lee was honest and cautioned her that the stickers might not be valid after January. She bought it and was elated when she noted she had shaved around 40 minutes off her daily roundtrip commute. She was getting 48 to 51 MPG on each round trip, and she had more energy after her commute home. Mr. Lee had identified the perfect vehicle for her needs.

Within 2 weeks of her purchase she convinced me to ask Mr. Lee to also find me a used Prius with car pool decals. In about 10 days he informed me he had located one and I am very glad I purchased it.

SERVICE DEP'T: I feel the Dch Service Dep't has always been honest and fair with me. As far as I know, they have never oversold me on parts or service that I didn't really need. The service advisors have always alerted me when a part shows it will need to be replaced in the near future Mack Rico, my current service advisor, seems to have the same high level of integrity that I have been accustomed to receiving since first coming here in 2000. I took my 2000 Camry to the service dept's at 2 other Toyota dealerships much closer to my home (it's a long trip over to Dch Torrance). Both times I was certain I had been overcharged at those other dealerships, and some expensive work they said I needed was not confirmed by Dch one time, and their predecessor the other time.

MANAGEMENT: With very few exceptions, the behavior and attitude of employees reflect the values of management. Dch Torrance Toyota management maintains a very professional operation. They are highly focused team leaders, and that quality is manifested in the positive attitude of the staff. They have created a pleasant customer-oriented atmosphere.

Overall, Dch Torrance Toyota is the absolute best auto dealership I have dealt with since buying my first new car in 1966. My spouse and I highly recommend Dch Torrance Toyota.

My mom got sick and her HMO provider suddenly doesn't cover her pre-existing conditions. To top it off, my 2-year-old Toyota Yaris suddenly stopped. It was so frustrating, I was on the verge of tears.

I had a mechanic from Dch Toyota & Scion in Torrance to check out my car. After tinkering with the engine, the mechanic dusted off his overalls and had the car purring in no time. The charge was mediocre at its best, and I was able to finally relax.

We had our truck in last week after having a strange noise gradually worsen after having the brakes done a couple months prior. After over $2500 to have it fixed my husband test drove the truck and there was still a problem so we returned the truck. The mechanic spoke directly to my husband and said it needed another $2800 worth of work in order to make the 4 wheel drive engage which had stopped working. The mechanic told my husband that he had already tried to go under the truck and tap on the device to break it loose which could engage the 4 wheel drive ( I don't know the names of all the parts & I'd rather be vague anyway) After the problems we had had with the truck and some other prior issues with our other cars that we couldn't prove, my husband drove the truck home and did his research and spoke to a mechanic. My husband crawled under the truck and unscrewed a protective cover. The screws were corroded on and difficult to remove, therefore the mechanic could not have just removed the cover to access the part to tap on it. After removing the cover my husband tapped on the part and got the part to move which enabled the truck to engage back into 4 wheel drive. The mechanic lied to my husband. When the dealership was either owned my someone else or under a different name years ago , they use to be honest, but not anymore. At least not the mechanic. We will be informing every Toyota owner we know in the S. Bay area not to go there.

I left amessage for the General Manager after I left in disgust giving him a chance to fix this but he never called me. These people give dealers bad name, are dishonest and dont care about the customer .I recommend you stay as far away as possible from this dealership.

One five-star review after another, all written the same way, all in a series of days, with not a single negative point in any one of them? This is a huge red flag - quite obviously these were all written by the dealership. I'm glad they warned me of their dishonesty up front before I wasted my time going there. Pretty amusing though.

We decided on a 2010 Sequoia Limited and researched the web for over a month. Checking the inventory of various dealers we found 21 dealers in 5 states with the vehicle in stock. Of course price was an important factor in our decision, but we also checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB) ratings (complaint type and history) as well as customer??s feedback on other available web pages such as Insiderpages.com. At first we were skeptical of so many positive reviews for DCH Toyota, but now I??m wondering why there aren??t more.

As a result of our research, DCH Toyota made the top three on our list. Sam is what brought us in to DCH Toyota. His responses were always timely, accurate, honest, upfront, respectful and extremely informative. There were no games. He never once failed to respond. If there was something he was not sure of, he would research it and give us the correct answer. There was never any guessing or surprises, we had all the information before we even got there.

Since we had never done business at DCH Toyota, we were a little nervous when we paid them a visit during our California vacation. But as soon as we met Sam, he put us at ease, the quote we received via email a month prior was honored without question, and there were no surprises. We feel we received an exceptional deal, even with shipping costs to New Mexico! All the people we met there were very nice as well. It was a shopping experience to beat all others.

I may live in New Mexico but I will be back to see Sam and DCH Toyota for my next vehicle.

I went to the dealership with my family to purchase a new Toyota Prius. We had the pleasure of working with Julian Fernando. What a tremendous experience! He exuded professionalism and honesty that was completely unexpected in a car salesman (might have been his 5 years as a mathematics teacher). I then had the pleasure of dealing with Chris Comer in finance. He is without a doubt the BEST finance manager I have ever dealt with. When I took my car back for the 30 day courtesy check Barrett Miller took very good care of us. We were done in less than an hour. You do not have to wait for long periods of time and the service is 10+.
