"Georgia" would still take care of me. So I called your store and spoke with her at this point I already knew I was interested in the Hogan Sectional she said she couldn't give me a price over the phone but there was a huge sale starting the next day come in. I was surprised she wouldn't give me a price so I went to my local Ashley's to see that the sectional was retail price for $ 2049.00 at that point I tried to get a discount and they said they couldn't do my price so At that point I felt it was out of my price range so i decided to shop at other stores. After looking around I found a sectional,a child's bed and box spring for my youngest child's room for $1800.00 I made the deal and thought I was done. Today 04/15/2011 I received a call from "Jay" a sales person at your store "Georgia" had him call me because I never went in to see what she could do . The first thing I told him was I was close to a deal with Mor Furniture because It was in my price range and I didn't think they could sell me the sectional for what I wanted to spend so I didn't want to waist there time
. "Jay" told me that Georgia was standing right next to him and she had just told him that she would beat mor's deal and they would be there till 8pm. I had told Jay that the it was $1500 no tax free delivery. Jay called me back 30 minutes later confirmed the sectional and I confirmed the price and at that point I told him I would be there in 20 minutes I told Jay I also need a full size child's bed and wanted to see what north shore pieces they had . I think Jay thought I would be a easy sale because he started disclosing to me that this big "$ 10,000,000 liquidation sale" was all a third party that was hired by you to get sales up and all they did was mark everything up 30% to 40% to discount down to regular price I couldn't believe he had said that then he went on to say out of your local three stores and he was the top guy. He said he sold $25,000 last week and only made $1000 so he was thinking of going back to the car business because he wasn't making any money. At this point I was ready to see pricing . At the end we where $300 apart. so Jay told me he had another customer there and we will part as friends if we didn't have a deal. I said fine shook his hand then "out of respect " for Georgia because the reason I went back was because of her I went to tell her it didn't work out but I will consider it since we where so close. Georgia tells me she took all the profit out of the deal the only thing left in the deal was for Jay commission and it was a right now deal because she got the OK from her manager so that sounded to me like a pretty weak close attempt so I just shook my head and smiled. Now this is when things went haywire. Georgia says to me my loyalty isn't worth $300 I say don't talk to me like that she says just leave and turns her back on me. Now what happens next happens in the middle of your show room on a 04/15/2011 Friday about 7:15 pm caused 100% by your Sales Manager's customer service/relation skills at your Mira Mar store Georgia . I defend myself and tell her If she was a woman of her word we would have a deal because she are charging me $300 more for the sectional than she told her boy Jay to tell me and that's why I was there because they called me . She lost it and proceeded to bang on the counter and tell me to leave over and over again I'm sure everyone in that side of the store heard our discussion.(we both where being very loud with each other at this point ) So I continued to tell her that if I ever gave her a price on a product I was selling over the phone I would honor the price when she got there . At this point I just thought enough was enough and decided to exit your showroom.

My point is I was ready to spend another $2500.00 in your showroom tonight that would have put me at about $7000.00 since 08/10 I know I'm not your biggest customer but I gotta be someone you want to keep coming back considering I have 4 rooms in my house unfurnished and I planed to come back for more I live 70 plus miles from your store and I would have been back for allot more but I will not be returning to your store not even for a apology (or to buy Ashley's furniture) because you got people running your store that could handle a angry customer at jack in the box I just wish I could return the furniture I bought 7 months ago.

I will be posting this email on every retail review site I can find because I know if you have people like this running your store and letting them run scams like this liquidation sale you have going right now you don't care about keeping your customers happy(only want to make a quick buck) and you must have so many customers you don't care about repeat and referral customers so I will post this so the gen Y's and gen X's that read these reviews might save them self's the waist of time that is visiting your store.

THERE WITH AN INLAY TOP AND 6 BROWN
LEATHER CHAIRS WITH A CLOTH BACK THIS
IS THE WORST LEATHER I HAVE EVER PURC HASED. AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS THE LEATHER STARTING TURNING A LIGHTER COLOR AND THEN THEY SPILT OPEN. CALLED
THE STORE AND THEY WONT REPLACE THEM
I GUESS 6 MONTHS IS ALL A 2400.00 DINNING

Really good prices but everything is basically special- ordered and will arrive 7-9 weeks. Plus they wont commit to delivering wall mirrors since they can break, so they make you pick-up their "centralized" warehouse. Most places make you wait 1-2 weeks max. I would rather pay more and have it delivered faster.

We were looking for coffee tables and side tables. Found something nice at a reasonable price. That's where the good news ends.
They didn't have it in stock and will be about a week.Fine! We chose to have it delivered for $79. For paying all that money, we only get to pick the day of delivery and not the time. They pick a 4 hour window and let you know the previous day. I've never dealt with such a delivery arrangement before - they atleast let you pick the window typically!
The furniture arrives at the end of the 4hr window. only to find that what they brought was not what we ordered. Delivery guys say matter-of-factly that it happens all the time and they can't do anything about that and ask me to talk to customer service. I talk to customer service which ahppens to be in Phoenix and they cant do anything about it because they are delivering what is shown in their computers. So, apparently it was entered wrong and I have to talk to the store. I talk to someone at the store- they are sorry about it but can't do anything. Will have the manager give me a call.I'm still waiting for the call.
Its been two weeks since my original order. No furniture. Not even an explanation. The time I took off from work to have it delivered was wasted. And I just checked that they promptly charged the credit card the day of my order.

It seems like they are more interested in making the sale than in delivering the stuff and making the customer happy. How sad!

We found what we were looking for, great quality furniture with great prices. The service was awesome, no pushy sales people, but great helpful advice and service. The only problem was we were told that the couch would be in in 3 weeks...but the good news is that is came in only in 2 weeks and we had to pick it up at the warehouse in Rancho Bernardo. No problem, we paid less than what we had budgeted for and was extremely satisfied.

When you walk into Ashley furniture, you will overwhelmed by their low prices and selection. Its like "Wow!". But when you find out that they have none of these in stock and they have to be ordered and it takes 4-6 weeks to fulfill your order, it's kind of disappointing. Here's what happened to me. Ordered 4 pieces of furniture with additional warranty purchase (3 hour ordeal), 4 weeks later, received all the pieces except one piece was not as it should be. They could only promise me a replacement if I wait another 4-6 weeks. I told them I can't wait. Requested a refund, I was told that because they don't keep money in the store that they would have to send me a check. 2-3 weeks later a check arrived, mispelled last name Johnson verus Jacobsen (no bank would accept that) and in the wrong dollar amount. When Manager (can only be reached if you leave a message, he has to return your call, he will never accept a call from you) was confronted, he placed blame on someone else, turned out it was his error, forgot to refund a warranty, 2 weeks later, a new check arrived but the amount was still incorrect, did not get refunded delivery fee. In fact I'm still waiting as I write this.
This started with an order placed in March, It is now June 3rd and I am still waiting for closure.

PROS: beautiful (faux) showroom
CONS: no product, horrible discourteous service, not recommended!
