I've come to Phil with my last two cars, and the service is unbeatable! It is easy to trust a family-owned company with such a long community history. Pacific Tire Outlet is where I still get my car work done - and I now live in Los Angeles!

Make sure you get there early - they're more popular than ever. A friendly face to come home to whenever I am in the Bay Area, my guys at Pacific Tire Outlet will get it done!

I've been taking my cars to Phil at PTO for almost 20 years now. I've kept going back to PTO now, through 5 different cars, because Phil is always up front about the state of my cars' tires. If I need just to rotate them, he says that, if I just need two new ones, and not four, he says that too. He doesn't kiss butt and I can see how some people think his customer service is brusk or abrupt, but PTO is always busy - and everyone I know who goes there has gone to Phil for years because he is so upfront.

The owner, Phil is really busy and really knows his stuff. Yes, he can talk down to folks. But we have been going back to him for years because he has great service and his team always does a good job. That's why it is always so very busy at Pacific Tire Outlet.

Every time I've been in there I get talked down to. Even with valid concerns about my vehicle- same crap.\n\nThey put the wrong grade tires on my car, even though the specifications from the manufacturer state what is acceptable, they put something lower on it. I don't skimp when it comes to quality on my vehicle, so I would have paid more for the right tires. Here's the clincher- they didn't tell me they did it! The tires are crap, I've noticed a huge difference between these tires and the ones I bought from Costco and Discount Tire. I'm having to replace 2 of them after only 2 years and proper rotation. The only reason I know the wrong tires are on the car is because the place I took them to for replacements told me its the wrong grade.\n\nTake your business elsewhere. It's worth it.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

They put the wrong grade tires on my car, a lower grade than specified by the manufacturer, and didn't tell me. I'm already having to replace two tires after 2 years and only 20,000 miles, even though I rotated on schedule.

When I called to talk to them about the wrong tires being put on my car, he dismissed my concerns and offered nothing. Why spend money at the place who doesn't stand up for their service and products and leaves you high and dry with no options?

Even time I speak to the manager he treats me like a child and talks down to me. It's very disrespectful. Take your business elsewhere.

The best thing about PTO is Phil Sweat, he won't BS with you but will tell you exactly what you need. Straight forward, that's what I like. Phil is the owner and manager of PTO, and every time you walk in he's helping customers behind the desk and answering phone calls. He is a GOOD HONEST man. If you want the BEST then go to Pacific Tire Outlet in Milpitas to get the BEST!!!!

I've been a customer for at least 10 yrs. Phil, the owner, always takes care of his customers. He's an honest guy, fast paced and always gives you options to save money. And, he has an awesome and friendly staff. His business is always busy because of their great customer service. I always refer my family and friends to Pacific Tire Outlet.

I have been dealing with Phil since he opened his Doors over 30 yrs ago. He is the "Best" in the Business that I have seen. I have referred him to "Many People" over the years and I have heard "Nothing" but Good Things. He has always treated me with "Respect" told me the "truth". Which you will never get from most Business Owners. I only wish that he had a "Full Service " for Auto's Shop! I will stand behind Phil above all others. I am in Sales and he is not the typical Sales Person. His Motto is if "You" like my "Style" and "Products" and IF I can help you "Fine"! Otherwise there are other Businesses down the Street--It was nice to have met you! Here's my Card-I wish you "Luck" He is upfront and in your Face with the Truth and Good Prices. I hope Phil is here for my Lifetime! Hang in there--Phil- You have my "Vote"! N.Ross

I come into PTO, and there's Phil. Very no-nonsense, straight forward and direct.

If you're one of these folks that have watched their first "customer service" video, and expect the same here, it's not going to happen. Phil does not give a sales pitch, song and dance, or kisses butt. He's great and making sure your car is serviced correctly, you have a great deal, and that you're on the road in one piece.

i've been going there for 6 years, and have watched the sensitive, touchy-feely types become easily intimidated with Phil's direct answers and fast pace. All i can say is, when those folks walk away looking for "fluffery", usually 2-3 other folks are there to take their place. and i'm one of them. Great job guys!!

if you're into warm, fuzzy, butt kissing service, while being robbed blind...PTO is not the place for you..but if you like upfront, honest, direct service, and great deals...PTO is the place...\r\n\r\nPhil was given to me as a referral, but they warned, he's very business-like, direct, upfront and honest. I told the person, that's what i like..and it's exactly what i got...plus a great deal...Please realize, This place is very, very busy..with such great deals, this is very understandable.\r\n\r\nSo if you expect to the guy at the front desk to STOP EVERYTHING to answer your list of questions, well, you'll have to ask your questions in between the phone calls, mechanics, and etc..Please realize, the folks who are calling only want to speak to Phil....and probably no one else..The guy knows his stuff...and has a reputation for his honest upfront service...i've been going there for about 6 years now..and i wouldn't trust my brakes, or tires with anyone else..and i have to drive at least 50 miles to get there...no kidding...

At first, I was very skeptical about any tire company that isn't a franchise but PTO proved me wrong. When I approached the manager Phil Sweat, he squeezed me in for an oil change even though they were about to close. Now THAT is good service! 5/5\r\n\r\nNeedless to say, I came back the second time for an oil change. They quoted, ""will be done in one hour"" in which they took my car in after 10 minutes. Btw, they rotate your tires for free in any type of service but you need to ask. Another 5/5\r\n\r\nThey recommended me to change tires because they were balding. (I knew that) so what they suggested were Primera tires and Uniroyal if I want cheap touring tires.\r\n\r\nNote: Tires have the same concept as everything else, ""What you pay is what you get, now that doesn't necessary mean the more you pay, the better you get, since sizes vary the price too, but you get what I mean.""\r\n\r\nThey will sound like they're trying to rip you off and sell you some, ""junk"" tires but remember, YOU'RE in control. Don't feel like you have to buy what they want you to buy.\r\n\r\nI ended up getting 4 Primera tires instead (279), since they were cheaper than Uniroyal(319). \r\n\r\nLong story short, you'll either like Phil or you really don't. He can be your enemy if you're sensitive to body gestures cause he can seem like someone who is impatient since he's busy left and right so my suggestion is, if you don't like them, go to somewhere else. I've compared the prices and there is no comparison because PTO sells mainly tires others don't carry. \r\n\r\nToday I went in Wheel Works and ask what they could give me and for the cheapest ones, it's Primewall, with a warrenty of 40K miles and 4 for 312 with tax. The next step up are Falken with 65K mi warrenty (which are excellent tires) for 377. There was no comparison. Now I just hope the Primera tires will last 60,000 miles like they promised to. (Oh, the Primera tires are noisy once they reach 70+mph so I wouldn't recommend it for fast freeway driving)

Pros: Fast service, easy to deal with and prices.

Cons: May always sound like they're in a rush or unavailable to help

At first, I was very skeptical about any tire company that isn't a franchise but PTO proved me wrong. I first heard of them through a total stranger on the street when I was asking where Wheel Works was located for Toyota Camry oil change because I had their coupon but he recommended Pacific Tires Outlet and added, "I've always change my tires at PTO," so when I approached the manager Phil Sweat, he squeezed me in for an oil change even though they were about to close. Now THAT is good service. 5/5

I personally love places where they value their customers so of course, needless to say, I came back the second time for an oil change. They quoted, "will be done in one hour" in which they took my car in after 10 minutes. Btw, they rotate your tires for free in any type of service but you just need to ask. Another 5/5

They recommended me to change tires because they were balding. (I knew that) so I asked Phil what they got and what they suggested were Primera tires and Uniroyal if I want cheap touring tires.

Note: Tires have the same concept as everything else, "What you pay is what you get, now that doesn't necessary mean the more you pay, the better you get, since sizes vary the price too, but you get what I mean."

By the way they talked, it really sounded like they were trying to rip you off and sell you some "junk" tires. Phil even brought one of his tech Frank in to explain what he recommended and they'll always ask the following questions:

1. what type of driving do you do
2. how many miles do you drive a year

When they consider what car you drive, they give you a list of tires and the prices are usually good. At that time, I still didn't "buy" it. Oh well, I got 4 Primera tires instead (279), since they were cheaper than Uniroyal(319).

Long story short, Phil will be the type of guy women love to have as their customer service, believe it or not. He could be your enemy if you're sensitive to body gestures cause he can seem like someone who is impatient but for me, I take it as a joke and since I'm the customer, I have the right to do business there for now so my suggestion is, if you don't them, go to Wheel Works. I've compared the prices and to make customers confused and things more complicated, PTO sells more tires that other companies don't sell such as Uniroyal, Riken and Primera.

This was yesterday. Today I went in Wheel Works and ask what they could give me and for the cheapest ones, it's Primewall, with a warrenty of 40K miles and 4 for $312 with tax. The next step up are Falken Ziek with 65K mi warrenty (which are excellent tires) for $377. There was no comparison. Now I just hope the Primera tires will last 60,000 miles like they promised to.

All in all, I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy tires in Milpitas. Think about it, I wouldn't spend my valuable time writing a review if they weren't good or deserve a good review, so believe me, they're good to deal with. I don't guaranteed they'll be easy and friendly since both times I went, they were kind of busy and packed.

A couple of years ago I needed to buy new tires for my car and went to the Pacific Tire Outlet. The staff there was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped my find very inexpensive tires for my car and squeezed me in to put in my new tires that same day. They also provide free rotations if you buy your tires from them.
