Beautiful, creative arrangements -- their flowers never disappoint. Just keep in mind that their floral arrangements are pricey.
FYI to the owners -- I have heard your staff on several occasions badmouth management.

Ordered by telephone as living in Spain for same day delivery or latest next day... They have finally been delivered 2 WEEKS later!!! The customer service was terrible. They couldn't have cared less and never got back to me unless to say 'Oh we don't have your bank details' which I had given twice. It was the worst customer experience I have ever had... and they said sorry once in about 6 phone calls and as many emails. They came across as plain rude. I have always had great service in America but this was unbelievable.
As a business owner, I would immediately sack the manager...STAY AWAY!!! I don't even want to give poor it was rubbish!!!

You have to be very specific, particularly due to the fact that many staff are young and just dont get it or staff who " just dont get it". Case in point. I was a walk in customer and told the staff that i was giving a bouquet of flowers to Diana Ross on stage and it had to be special. The girl made an arrangement ( after I picked out all the flowers) however she made a table arrangement. Long story short, there is an African American male there who knew his stuff. He went out of his way and fixed the arrangement to be ready to present on stage. Be specific when you go and take charge

We had a friend who did a HUGE favor for us and we ordered him a large arrangement of flowers ( over $100). We ordered on the internet and got an order receipt and confirmation. When we next saw him he said jokingly " I hope it all worked out the last person I did this for sent me a great bottle of wine." We asked if he got the flowers and he had not. When I called Jacob Maarse and told them what happened, they were totally not apologetic and said " Well you can send another and get delivery for free." I could not believe it!!! I said " Are you really telling me that after you did this to me your remedy is for me to buy more flowers from you?" She said "If you want to."This was SHOCKING!!!! We have bought numerous arrangements from them in the past. What arrogance! I will NEVER buy anything there again.

My family was fortunate enough to receive a delivery from Jacob Maarse Flowers after the birth of our son. The bouquet was magnificent! It contained a mix of roses, stargazer lilies, purple orchids, decorative kale, and other flowers that complemented each other beautifully. Several of the lilies and orchid buds were closed, and they opened gradually over the course of the next week to dramatic effect. With minimal water added, the flowers lasted over 2 weeks! The decorative glass vase was also perfect for the arrangement. My wife claims that this was most beautiful flower delivery she has ever received. If you can afford them, I would highly recommend Jacob Maarse Flowers.

PROS: Amazing flowers, artistic creations, long-lasting
CONS: Cost a bit more, but they are worth it for special occasions

I went in to pick up some roses early on Valentine's. The flowers were nice, but for $150 I expected really nice, not 12 short stemmed roses in a square vase. I realize I was paying a lot for the name but i couldn't tell the difference between their flowers and the floral dept at Ralphs. Luckily, no one was available to help me so I left and found much better flowers and service elsewhere.

PROS: Good quality (so I hear, I couldn't tell)
CONS: Get ready to hawk your guitar to afford them

I discovered this flower shop when I was shopping for the perfect corsage and boutonniere combination for my senior prom. I had a purple dress and was intenet on finding the most gorgeous light purple roses. Jacob Maarse Flowers was the only florist in town that had the perfect flower. That was 10 years ago and the quality of fresh flowers has not changed. It's a beautiful little shop. Very impressive!

If you really want something unique and special, check out this flower shop. Their arrangements are art, really beautiful and fabulous. It's worth stopping by just to walk around. They have other stuff too--lotions, gift wrap, holiday items, but the main attraction is the magic they do with flowers and other objects.

If you want quality floral arrangements, go to Jacob Maarse. They do consistently beautiful work. I had them do my wedding and they exceeded my expectations. However, such quality comes with a price ... they are expensive. Is it worth it? You decide.

What beautiful flowers and exquisite floral displays! Extravagant prices however, so beware. But you can't beat this for special occasions, so know that shelling out a few extra 10s is gonna be very very very worthwihle!

Their floral designs are classy and classic, but you can also buy flowers by the stem or bunch. They're pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for.

This place really does live up to its reputation. When I was in high school our prom group all ordered our boutonnieres and corsages from this location. They have an extremely large and quality selection. They are also very classy. My corsage was classy and sophisticated rather than some of the glitzy stuff with ribbon hanging down to the floor that some places like to sell. But I'm sure if I wanted that, they could have scrounged up some ugly ribbons. The price is steep, but worth it because of the quality.

This is a great way to get out of the doghouse. Their flowers are expensive, but they definitely look pricier than they are. They have good deals for proms and formals and such here, I bet they get a lot of businss around this time.

This is like no flower store or shop I've ever been in. I've walked through their large showroom a few times and am always impressed by what they're able to do with their flower arrangements. My business regularly calls J.M. when we need a last-minute thank-you or birthday gift for a client. At this point, we just say "something nice" and we have total confidence that what they prepare will wow our client.

Unique, elegant, beautiful. I have never seen such amazing, imaginitive arrangements of flowers. I can always recognize a design by Jacob Maarse. I especially like the tight compact style arrangements. Send someone special flowers from Jacob Maarse, and they will never be disappointed!

Known as the premier florist in Pasadena by all who have lived around here. Expensive, but the best available, with beautiful, classy and intersting arrangements that are always in wonderful taste.

Jacob Maarse has the most beautiful flowers and arrangements. I personally haven't seen prettier flowers anywhere else. You definately get what you pay for. I just like to walk in there and look around and take a sniff of the flowers. The staff is knowledgable and have a good eye too.

I've never been in the store but I called based on SEVERAL friends' recommendations. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The prices are about the same as 1-800 flowers or places like that, but the flower quality is much better and the arrangements are the best I've ever seen.

I've only been to Jacob Maarse once but have heard so many wonderful comments about it. The flowers are gorgeous - some of the most beautiful arrangements. But you definitely pay for the look and the name. We've purchased holiday invitations there for business and have found them to be classy and well-assorted. The store looks and smells beautiful and has a wide array of house decor and flowers. But I do believe it's a bit overpriced. It's worth checking out...especially if you need somethingfancy or want to impress someone with the name!
