There are many El Pescador Restaurants, all owned by the nine Ortiz brothers, but the one on Eastern is the best. It's beautiful, clean, and the service and food are great - all the time! My favorite thing is the large shrimp cocktail. It comes in a huge goblet with a sort of tomato-y sauce with onions, cilantro, and big pieces of avocados, and it's really filling. They use big, fresh shrimp, and it makes a whole meal. Also nice are the beautiful and intereting music videos they show over the bar. It makes you feel like you're on vacation.

I've visited the El Pescador chain of restaurants on numerous occasions. This location is clean, bright and airy with lots of balloons tied to the ends of the booths, lending a festive vibe. There's also a few plasma screens playing

Pros: Clean, festive environs; good food; friendly service

Cons: The refried beans are a bit too refried ;)

In Short
Part of the small local chain of family-owned restaurants, El Pescador serves affordable Mexican food in a lively setting. Vibrantly colored balloons flank the booths, faux white lillies fill planters and Diego Rivera…
