Basque Boulangerie Cafe

We went to Sonoma on our honeymoon and had breakfast at the Basque Boulangerie Cafe on our last day. We wished we'd tried it earlier in our visit, because the pastries and coffee were delicious!

Best espresso, bread and bakery in town. In good weather, sit outside and enjoy the view. Great sandwiches and salads made fresh. Locals like to hang out here and meet friends on a regular basis.

I know locals who go to the Basque on a regular basis some go for espresso, some for the tasty lunches, others for the pastries or award-winning bread. While all of these are good reasons, my own is the COOKIES. Whenever Im in the Plaza area, I like to stop by and order a mixture of these delicious treats chocolate, chocolate chip, peanut butter, etc. The counter people provide excellent service, they have to work quickly due to the crowds. Ive never stayed inside to eat, its too busy. But there are a few tables outside and the park is right across the street.

Basque is currently THE place to stop for a pastry and coffee in the morning!
Always busy it's a great place to go and meet friends!
The pastries are delicious!

Lunches are quite busy too~ and the location is perfect to pick a few items and head to picnic in the Plaza park!
The quiche are very good!

But my favorite~ is the sourdough french bread! Simply THE BEST!
