Grand Lux Cafe

Grand Lux is like the upscale version of Cheesecake Factory. It has tons of options for what to eat and most of all, lots of desserts. The restaurant is big and has great decorations. It's definitely a reliable place to eat.

Jambalaya is very good. Served with white rice. I want some now!Friday and Saturday nights, it's a bit crowded, so it's probably best to go during the week or maybe lunch. Not a good date place. It's kinda loud, but it's a nice place to meet your friends.

This restaurant is located on the first level of the Beverly Center. The inside decor is beautiful and not too brightly lit. The chain that owns this place also owns the Cheescake Factory. Some of the menu items are the same- strawberry shortcake and the cheesecakes. The salads are a bit more adventurous and the entrees more varied. I like the place because it is more spacious than the Cheescake Factory restaurants that I have been to and you can have a large lunch or dinner party without being scrunched together.

PROS: Great food and atmosphere
CONS: Mall parking

I am a sucker for pasta, and the pasta here rocks. My waiter forgot to bring a dessert that I ordered, but the manager served me a free dessert the next time I went. If you tell the waiter that it's your birthday, they'll bring you a free dessert thathas a candle. This place is always busy, so you might have to wait if you don't have reservations. I love the couches in both the dining and waiting area.
