Pho Hoa is a chain restaurant that serves a Vietnamese beef broth soup called Pho. Since it is a chain the pho isn't as great as the other mom and pop stores serving Pho. However, this one in San Francisco is quite palatable and agreeable.

This is once again, one of the many restaurants our family loves. It is located two blocks down where my dad lives so we walk to it. If you are driving, there is no parking spaces but there is a parking area about a block or block and half close to this place. Try public transportation. The location is situated by the tenderloin so you would see some bums around. Dont worry they wont bite and they dont bother you. The place is clean and service is efficient. The food taste great - try to order their vermicelli rice with beef and some vegetables or one of their soup - its good. Price is good!

It's an great place to eat because I have gone here since I was a child. I remember my parents love this place, as well as my uncle. It's very quick, great service, and tasting food food to eat in Downtown. On the other hand, not a well place to hang out with because of the neighborhood, also parking is rough to find, but other than that, it's A okay. One more thing, average on clean restaurant.

Well I dunno about the person who has reviewed this one before me but i have there twice and each time my bowl was HOT. The meat was cooked and the service was amazing. Best of all the costs were very competitive. I guess this place is a YMMV (Your mileage may vary) Probably depending on the tiem you go coz when i went there the place was pretty empty and we got prompt service. total cost for 2 people 22$

PROS: low costs
CONS: cheap with no frills place

This is a no frills restaurant but good when you're looking for a quick, easy bite. They have the usual variety of pho noodles along with a whole other selection of rice plates and cold noodles. Most of it is tasty and very authentic. The neighborhood can be a little sketchy, and parking at certain times a bit tricky, but nothing out of the ordinary.

There are plenty of good pho joints in the saigon area, but avoid Pho Hoa at all costs. The inside is typical--no frills and cheap prices. However, the bowl that came to me was lukewarm, a veritable sin in the world of pho. My raw meat didn't even get cooked all the way. Avoid like the plague.

PROS: Cheap.
CONS: Fundamental flaws in cooking.
