I haven't been there because I believe you get what you pay for and this is very CHEAP furniture slapped together in one of the Asian countries. But the major complaints seem to stem from customer service.
Everyone needs to stop complaining about customer service because we have all allowed it to be the normal of all the big companies. The consumer complained, and complained about the costs of products with good customer service for too long so the big companies went overseas, cheaped up the products with cardboard and chewing gum,took away the customer service and now we complain that the products suck and the customer service is non existent. Folks, it has to be one way or the other. My company Motto is:REGRET OF BUYING POOR QUALITY REMAINS LONG AFTER THE HAPPINESS OF LOW PRICE IS FORGOTTEN. Buy it cheap over and over and over if you don't buy it right the first time! Quit whining and go spend the money on good furniture with a designer or a store with a track record for good quality and excellent customer service!

On January 31,2012 Living Spaces picked up my broken dining room table. I had purchased it only 6 months ago and it was still under warranty. The table support broke and was cracked in the middle so I called the warranty department to make arrangements to have it repaired. Little did I know, I would have to deliver my broken table still under warranty or pay a $50 pick up fee for them to come pick the table up and fix it. Well, it has been 6 weeks now, today is March 12, and I still do not have my table back. Everyday I call Living Spaces warranty department to check the status of the return of my table and everyday I get placed on hold ""indefinitely"" or I get voicemail. I leave a message everyday and still hear nothing back from them. The warranty department is a joke, they are holding my table hostage. I spent over $700 for nothing because I have to stand to eat every night. The company should pay me back for keeping my table so long. Sure, you walk in the store and think great prices and what a deal but if you have trouble with your product, you are screwed in the long run. DON'T BUY FROM LIVING SPACES FURNITURE

Last weekend I purchased a Queen bed and sofa/love seat. Bed was delivered same day and on time by 2 clean/courtious delivery guys. Love my new bed. I will respond later about my experience with the couch situation. (Could have had the couchs same day, but I opted for a color change which takes 2 weeks to get.) The store was bright/clean, had coffee & fresh baked cookies, sales people were helpful and low key...no sales pressure. The price I paid for my couches was LESS than Ashly furniture AND Big Lots for the same couch! At check out they went out of their way to review every detail of my purchase and restocking fee if I was unsatisfied and inquired if my front door opening was large enough to allow delivery. Seemed LS was making every effort to ensure my satifaction and understanding of transaction, plus gave copies of everything to me. AND I got 12 months zero interest on my purchase! Thinking about a set of bedroom furniture I saw there... but can't justify it at this time...

They were supposed to show up last night between 8 and midnight. Well, they didn't show, didn't call, and now say the best they can do is deliver it tonight between 6pm and 10pm. That would seem all fine and dandy but when I have to be up at midnight to get ready for work it doesn't really fit into my schedule. The guy on the phone didn't even offer a refund. My husband went down to the store and the manager was nice but couldn't do anything to fix the situation. All they could do was refund the delivery charge and give us a 25 dollar gift card. To top it off we will still not be getting our furniture for two more days, and since we cleared out all our furniture already we are going to be sleeping on a blow up air mattress.

Apparently Living Spaces consolidated their distribution warehouses into one location, and the manager said since the consolidation this has been happening quite a bit, so I know there are many other upset customers out there as well.

I WISH I read these reviews prior to purchasing $3,700 worth of furniture from them. We sold our bed with mattress today because we were supposedly getting out new bedroom set with mattress. I am literally laying on the floor trying to fall asleep. This is ridiculous. I can't believe a company this big can downright LIE. The dispatcher swore up and down that they deliver well into the night even 12 or 1 am. Multiple times they said this and the story changed as ro which call they were on...why?... because the delivery guys obviously went to bed!... and so did the dispatcher after full on lying to me. Also, they don't tell you how the ""bed is $$"" but then the frame is separate etc. I really hope the quality is okay. I am very concerned as to what I have read about mattresses falling apart, the furniture isn't like the showroom furniture and that you're stuck with it. I am hoping this nightmare ends with just a horrible nights sleep and not multiple nights with no bed and $3700 wasted in junk furniture.

This Rating is far ABOVE what they deserve. Should have checked out the complaints against this company before I purchased a special order sectional. Supposedly this is a high end sectional. I beg to differ. My wife and I have had this sectional for about 5 months. The first day after we received this section we could not get the brackets to line up and lock it together. Second day I rested my arm on the armrest and it collapsed. Then my wife and I noticed that the cushions when sat on collapsed all the way to the frame and the saggy springs (which dip way to low). We are busy people so we did not address the matter immediately. We recently visited the showroom to buy more furnature after having this sofa for about five months. We spoke there to a manager and addressed our concerns with the sectional that we bought. We went over and sat on the the same sectional on the showroom floor that we had recently purchased. The quality was a hundred times better, and this sofa gets sat on all day long buy the customers. The manager said no problem we'll take care of you. He referred us to the warranty department (Big Mistake). I dealt with Laura Raena who told us to send in some picture of the sectional. We did as she requested. We then contacted her after the picture were sent to find out what was going to be done about it. She told us sorry we cant help you. So I spoke with her manager John Benson. John told us the same thing. He also said the pictures looked fixed, as if we positioned the cushions in to take the photos. I asked him to send out a technician, which I was told they would do, and they refused. I told him I would be happy to pay the technician to come out. He again refused. I'm guessing its becuse I have a legitimate complaint that they don't want to document or replace the furnature. Steer clear of this company unless you want to take them to court.

giving LS a one star rating is above and beyond what this company deserves. They are a sham, scam operation. No matter what store you go to, you will get the same results. Customer dissatisfaction, consumer abuse. I have been burned twice by them. They don't stand behind what they sell and and claim to be. I ordered, they delivered, and when they did deliver, the delivery men said they could and would not get it out of their truck because the items would not fit through my front door. They were right. In that moment, while they were here, I called LS and told them the problem. They insisted the laborers could get furniture in, the en kept shaking their heads, they took the phone from me and spoke outside, then came back and said I needed to sign invoice so that they wouldn't lose their jobs. I didn't sign as I knew that would make me look like I refused items and told them so. 2 days later, my credit card showed I was slapped with a restocking fee which was in the hundreds of dollars. Please bear in mind that upon purchasing, I TOLD the salesperson on the floor I was concerned about the size of furniture and it fitting through my front door. She said not to worry. Delivery will know how to get it in, they will figure it out. The delivery guys told me that LS doesn't care about them hurting their backs or scraping the furniture. To all consumers: you will LOSE if you buy at LS!!!!!!

This is the worst place ever. I bought and item and they loaded up the wrong item in my truck. I called to let them know and they acted like it was my fault. Their managers "Jackie and John" are so bad. They probably earn min. wage and thats why they suck!!

They gave me a timeframe for delivery of between 10:00 and 12:00 and it's now 1:30. Living Spaces said that the delivery people are in my city and I'm next, but just got a call from the driver that they're an hour away.

Actually 1 star is too high of a rating for this store. This place is a total joke. They have the worst customer service ever. They can't do anything right. We special ordered furniture and they were late delivering it (after 10pm at night on a weeknight and I had small kids in bed). Then they charged us for the fabric protection and extended warranty and conveniently forgot to apply the fabric protection. They had to make a separate appointment (with a 2 hour time frame) and were late again. When they finally arrived they didn't have enough fabric protection for all of my furniture so they wanted to make yet another appointment (again with the ridiculous 2 hour time frame). When I told them I didn't want to sit around and wait for the time frame and wanted an exact appointment time because of their error, they refused. When I asked to speak to a manager they refused to give me a manager. They sold me something and never gave it to me. This store must teach their employees to lie to you and steal your money. DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!! The WORST furniture store ever!!!!

Actually 1 star is too high of a rating for this store. This place is a total joke. They have the worst customer service ever. They can't do anything right. We special ordered furniture and they were late delivering it (after 10pm at night on a weeknight and I had small kids in bed). Then they charged us for the fabric protection and extended warranty and conveniently forgot to apply the fabric protection. They had to make a separate appointment (with a 2 hour time frame) and were late again. When they finally arrived they didn't have enough fabric protection for all of my furniture so they wanted to make yet another appointment (again with the ridiculous 2 hour time frame). When I told them I didn't want to sit around and wait for the time frame and wanted an exact appointment time because of their error, they refused. When I asked to speak to a manager they refused to give me a manager. They sold me something and never gave it to me. This store must teach their employees to lie to you and steal your money. DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!! The WORST furniture store ever!!!!

Also received the talk about adding Guardian protection, etc., to get an extended warranty. Thought it odd that they also tell you that you get a kit to apply the product yourself and have to call in to verify that you did apply it, b/c it might not be totally covered when you receive it. It they don't stand behind their products, what good is a warranty, extended or not. Thanks for saving us the heartache of all that you all have gone or are going through. You would think in this day and age companies would bend over backwards to serve their customers...NOT. Thanks again!!!

We recently purchased a Flexsteel chair & ottoman from Living Spaces Furniture. We decided to purchase this chair even though it was a couple hundred dollars more than another one we were considering because the sales people were very convincing as to the quality of this brand, especially concerning the cushions. When we received the chair, the seat cushion seemed noticeably thinner than the one in the store. After about two weeks it was very flat. We took it back to the store and compared it to the floor model. It didn't even seem like the cushion cover was as thick as the one in the store. They said they would re-stuff it and that they had foam equal to the foam in the Flexsteel chair in the store. Well that cushion also flattened out in a couple of weeks. We again took the cushion back and brought the sample cushion from the floor model up to the counter to show them the difference. The cushion we had was very noticeably flatter than the floor model. The customer service rep said that it was normal and that cushions always flatten out. I explained to her that our cushion was never as thick and comfortable as the one in the store and I didn't feel it should be so flat in just a couple of weeks. We told her we would wanted one like the one we thought we were buying. She said she couldn't send it back to Flexsteel because they would just send the cushion cover to them to stuff. Well we had already tried that and it was obvious that the foam they use is very inferior to what they were advertising with the Flexsteel floor model. She was not very happy or helpful and asked us what do we want. I asked if they could change out the foam in the cushion we had with the one in the store. She said they would but I didn't think it would fit. Well they managed to stuff it in the cover but after about a week, the cover is distorted because it is too small for the cushion. So now we are stuck with a $700 (plus a matching $200 ottoman) chair that doesn't look right and isn't very comfortable. Living Spaces does not have very good customer service and it seems like they are advertising one thing and you actually get something much more inferior. BTW, 10 days prior to this review, we did lodge a customer service complaint on Living Spaces website but have yet to receive a reply.

Like someone else that has posted on here, I too used to work for Living Spaces in La Mirada(helped them open the store and trained in Rancho). Back before they started using contractors for their deliveries, I was a driver. All the horrible stories on here I have heard and been through.

I'll explain how are these horrible things happen. I used to open the back of the truck and see some pretty bad stuff.

The way things work at living spaces is they pressure the dock workers(truck loaders) to load(throw) everything in the back of the truck ASAP by having competitions on who could load the most trucks. And trained us, the drivers, on how to get people to sign off on furniture deliveries without inspecting the furniture for damage.

Drivers also had competitions for most deliveries every month. So if some furniture was damaged it would take up a lot of time to call customer service, tell them what was wrong, reloaded the damaged furniture, and haul it back to the warehouse. Too much time wasted on a delivery = bad driver.

I used to be a very honest driver and call customer service if I noticed something wrong with the furniture before I even got it out of the back of the truck. I was told to stop doing this and let the customer find the damage. Then I was taken off driving duties for a month for pointing out some damage to a customer. He told customer service that I'm the one who pointed it out (which I did). lol I was trying to help him out then he put me on the spot.

Bad things that are true about living spaces:
2 months after I left they "layed off" all the drivers and hired contractors.

Most of the furniture is already damaged by the time it gets to your house. Either it has been touched up or they do a good job of hiding it. INSPECT IT VERY GOOD

That very expensive guardian stuff you pay for is rarely put on and if it is...very, very POORLY

You get what you paid for people. Cheap prices because its CHEAP furniture. Compressed cardboard all over the store.

Customer service is REALLY RALLY REALLY bad. They used to treat the drivers like trash for making them do their job.

This store used to treat its employees very good. Free lunch on the weekends, good company parties, company picnics, monthly meets with prizes...then they started expanding...When I started working there it was only 1 store then came La Mirada and things, it seems, are getting worse with every store opening.

If you think of shopping there read all these stories first because they are VERY true.

omg! bought a leather chair and other furniture. After 3 weeks notice tear under both arms and release latch not working, called the Irvine store where we got it, cost us $50.00 to have someone to come out to look at it. Omg again they would not replace the chair but sewed up the tears I bought a new chair I don't want it fix I want it replaced. Now surprise surprise it ripped again but this time they waived the $50.00 fee how very nice of them, and they sewed it up again , guess what ripped again! Now its 3 months since purchased and I am demanding it to be replaced Jackie the manager made a decission that we abused the chair and they would not replace it end of story but we could have someone fix it again but would cost us another $50.00 and she had the nerve to ask if she could help us with anything else. DO NOT SHOP AT A PLACE THAT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. A CHAIR SHOULD NOT RIP IN 1 MONTH AND FOR THEM TO SAY WE ABUSED THE CHAIR IS DOWN RIGHT STUPID! STAY AWAY FROM LIVING SPACES. - upon purchase - with pickup - I waived all of my return rights including warranties
(upon purchase - even with store delivery - you can only exchange the item, cannot get a full refund)
- supposedly it was my responsibility to inspect the sofa before picking it up.

Each person I spoke with from the company, rehearsed the same scripted responses above, which leads me to believe that this is not a one bad store, but rather a corporate policy.

Of course, I can sue them, or dispute with my credit card, but it is a waste of time. I'm only hoping that this review will help the next person from being victimized from this company. Horrible, horrible customer service. Stay away.

I ordered a TV cabinet from Living Spaces website on Christmas eve. I printed out the reciept, and headed 30 miles to Rancho Cucamonga. I went to the counter where you pick up the items. In my hand I had my reciept and credit card.they asked for my id. I didnt have it with me because I missplaced it. They said they cant give me the merchandise without an id. I asked to speak with the manager, the manager named Steve told me the same thing. I explained to steve that I misplaced my id. he said too bad we cant help you. I offered to show him my vehicle registration, showing my name and address match the info on my reciept. The manager Steve was rude and once again denied me. I asked for a refund and he refunded my purchase with no id. He cant sell an item without an id, but can give me a refund without an id? The manager was very unprofessional and i would never go back.

When we received the furniture, we found it it had extreme static, it was very uncomfortable trying to sit in it. We figured it was just from the bag they delivered it in, but after a few days and googling the problem, we found a steady stream of people that have encountered this type of problem with this type of microfiber sofa. The store manager and two salespersons said they had never heard of such a thing. Strange. The materials used in the production of this style sofa is extremely prone for static electricity build-up and may cause game controllers to fail, lap-tops subject to extreme static discharge, etc. Caveat Emptor
By the way, there is a 10% restocking fee plus pick-up is $70 if you want to return it, we lost $170!

Each time I was told that it would be delivered correctly next time. The worst part was their customer service. When you have a complaint, they make it impossible to talk to anyone on the phone. Renee in "customer service" refused to let me talk to a manager. Jackie and Josephine in the Irvine store promised many times the product would be correct and come to find out they never even communicated with the drivers what they told me! I got a full return of my money.

Terrible. I spent good money on a mattress and a few months later it is falling apart. It is clearly defective so I called to see what I could do about it. I had to pay $50 for someone to come look at the mattress. Well they did and the results were supposedly within reason normal wear and tear. What! I was shocked because my mattress feels like I am sinking in it. If you sit on the sides of the bed you feel like you are going to fall off. They told me to contact the manufacturer which they did not have a phone number to. So now I am out $1350. Plus when they assessed my mattress they told me my bedframe probably was defective. I bought the bedframe from them too. What a ripoff. Save your money, purchase somewhere else!!!

Terrible. I spent good money on a mattress and a few months later it is falling apart. It is clearly defective so I called to see what I could do about it. I had to pay $50 for someone to come look at the mattress. Well they did and the results were supposedly within reason normal wear and tear. What! I was shocked because my mattress feels like I am sinking in it. If you sit on the sides of the bed you feel like you are going to fall off. They told me to contact the manufacturer which they did not have a phone number to. So now I am out $1350. Plus when they assessed my mattress they told me my bedframe probably was defective. I bought the bedframe from them too. What a ripoff. Save your money, purchase somewhere else!!!

I worked for Living Spaces for quite a long time and I would recommend that people NEVER, EVER SHOP HERE! I won't even purchase furniture for my home with an employee discount. It is speculated that this store buys "clearance" items from the manufacturers and often items arrived at our warehouse damaged or with missing parts. Living Spaces will give you the run around when you call to report that an item arrived damaged. They want you to give up and not have the item repaired! If parts are missing they will want to do a parts order which may take 2 months for items to arrive. Drivers don't speak English and are contracted. Quality control is HORRIBLE!!! At the time of purchase they will make you sign and initial like, 20 times to relieve Living Spaces of any liability. This Guardian product that so many people get sucked into purchasing is usually not even applied! Salesmen are non commission, which is nice in some aspects. But they walk around the store like zombies and it is extremely difficult to find help. If a customer returns an item they will resell it. You may be buying a used piece of furniture! On top of that usually items have been repaired or touched up before making it to your home. You may spend more money at another place like Mathis Brothers but it is well worth it!! I eventually ended up leaving the company because of reasons like this. I was not going to be with a company that pulls this crap.

We took my took my father to buy new furniture in Rancho. After buying floor model and new furniture totaling 4000$ , we were told when paying two pieces were not available so we could purchase one scratched show room piece for 10% off and purchase a more expensive piece to replace the bookcase. We asked for an additional $15 off of a 4000$ purchase, and the manager refused... They also wanted to charge us delivery twice because two pieces had to be custom ordered. They didn't want to give us 15$ off a 4000$ purchase? It was their fault because they told us the product was in stock and strangely two items had disappeared from store stock in 10 minutes. Also strange that it was a current item when we purchased but 10 minutes later it became discontinued. Terrible customer service from management. This gave us a serious indication of how we would be treated in the future. I also saw many flaws in almost everything there. Glad we walked out after reading these reviews. It wasn't about the money, It was the principle. This was after spending 5 hours there. Totally wasted Fathers day. Salesman was nice, the people who make the decisions dont care about your business one bit, they blew a $4k sales and potential $10K more.

Not happy with anything from this store, very bad customer service. Everybody have their own policies. they sent my order 5 times wrong to my place ...same error was done again n again. Very dissapointed with staff espeacially with the managers ADAM and MIKE. i will never refer this store to anybody and i will never go there ever.

I had a bad experience with the manager there. I was telling him about the problem that I had with a table I bought. The problem is when I clean the table with damp clothe, the color of the table came out. I called the warranty that we had, they said they will not cover that part. So, I explain to the manager at living spaces to see if he can help. What made me up set is...the manager excuse me of not using the right cleaning solution...I told him I just used damp clothe and that should not happened. Anyways, in stead of helping me..he didn't even want to listen. Service sucks!!!!

I had a bad experience with the manager there. I was telling him about the problem that I had with a table I bought. We bought a dining table at Living Spaces which started to peel less than on year after purchase. You call customer service and they are very rude. They accussed us of scratching the table and would not cover it. Don't ever buy from this store, poor quality furniture and horrible customer service.

I haev bought furniture from Living Spaces twice and I have found that the furniture is of a shoddy quality that falls apart at the wink of an eye and that the insurance that you buy through them, Guardian will not cover anything that is claimed. I had witnesses when staples came out of my loveseat recliner foot adn ripped holes int he fabric and they claimed it was pet damage even though my cat is declawed and the damage wopuld only be from a sabre tooth tiger and they refused to repair heat damage to my dining room table citing it had to be multiple instances.

I bought my living room set here and was very pleased with it. The store is huge and has LOTS of styles from which to choose. The price of my living room set was very reasonable, compared to other stores in the area. We also bought a beautiful area rug and it is still as beautiful today as it was when we bought it. Again, the price of the rug was a very good price and the rug itself is of quality materials and construction. I would buy furniture from this store again. We also loved the fact that we could take it home with us that day. We even paid to have the living room set spray coated with a stain resistant chemical that has done a great job of protecting the furniture, especially since my 13 month old grandson thought it would be cute to dump a full can of soda onto the couch just to see what would happen. It cleaned up beautifully. I would highly recommend this store.

I was moving and i needed a new couch so i decided to check this place out. it was a nice place and they had very helpful people. I found the couch that i wanted but it was not in stock. after being taken over by all the sales people and being reassured that the couch would be at my house in ten days i purchased the couch. ten days went by. they called me and said that it would be at my house 9 to 12 the next day. at 8 30 they called and said that the couch had hole in it and they need to get me a new one. 12 days later i called and asked if the couch was coming they said that is was in and it would be at my house between 9 to 12. at 10:30 they called and said that the new couch had two holes in it and could not be delivered again they told me that they would need to order a new one and that they would rush deliver for me. 15 days later they called me and left a message that the couch came and it was the wrong color, this was yesterday. today they called and said that it would take another 2 weeks to get it in. i have been in my apartment now for a month and a half still siting on the floor

I visited the Rancho store for the first time last week. The shop is rather nice, very big with some selections. After we picked out several pieces of furniture, we asked them if it was the same to order online. Their reply is that ordering online is the same. So, we went home and try to place order online. First, we wanted 6 chairs and the website only allows you to buy onnly 4! And, one of the other coffee table that we wanted did not even show up online. We then have to hold off the ordering and call customer service (which was 23 mins waiting and then being cut off). Customer service told us that the coffee table is not in stock, and, as for the extra chairs, I can add them to my order later (they said they will call me after I place the order).
So, I went back to the web and try to order the items. I then realized that they have increased the price of the chairs from $95/pc to $130 a piece!! And, the dinning table is gone from the web as well.
Right now, I am left with a set of sectional sofa that I wanted to purchase. But I am having second thoughts now, especially after the negative comment about the QUALITY of the products. I do not mind going through phone calls, etc. to have issues straightened out, but, paying over $1000 for broken products are not acceptable!
Therefore, my advise is, do not shop at this place.

This is a big furniture store. They have a lot of different models of furniture to choose from. I bought a gorgeous dinning table, the price was reasonable and they deliver it the same day. The costumer service was really nice.

This is a very large furniture store with lots to choose from. The floor models were a bit beat up but the prices are very good. We were looking for a living room and dining room set. We found a very nice living room set (we saw it elsewhere but for $300 more). They deliver next day which is remarkable and the delivery price was fair. The financing went very well and they had good customer service.

After they left, I found out the backing of the dresser mirror was broken, and inside the draw, the wood panel was also badly chipped. They did sent someone to repair it, so I gave them a second chance and bought something else from them. This time a buffet hutch, delivered to my house. In the process of setting it up, their delivery person broke the handle of the buffet door. I was told they will send me a new handle within 1 week. It has been over 4 MONTHS as of this is written! I still have not recieved the handle. Every time I called customer service, they were very rude and did not give any direct answers. They have you taken once you paid, because if you try to return anything you have to pay 20% restocking charges even the return is their fault. It says on the invoice you signed!!

New house means new furniture. We were hopeful after listening to their commercials and knowing they have a big place locally, which can deliver the same day. Well, once we were in, we have realized that, living spaces cater to those who are looking for the mainstream, run off the mill furniture models. Finding something either of us liked was impossible for us. If you want cheap furniture fast, this is the place for you, but if you are looking beyond the ordinary, I'd say, move on.

PROS: quick delivery
CONS: run off the mill furniture, nothing out of the ordinary

Stores in Living Spaces' price range also exist, but they are much smaller so you'd most likely end up visiting more than two furniture stores to find what you want. Another good thing about Living Spaces is that their employees are very knowledgeable and polite. Their helpfulness and patience make shopping more pleasant.
