I went to Crest Cafe the other day for lunch for the first time. Even though the restaurant seemed a bit overcrowded with customers, but it was worth of waiting in the line to get my lunch and the food was very good. I have walked pasted

I went to Crest Cafe the other day for lunch for the first time. Even though the restaurant seemed a bit overwhelmed the food was very good. I have walked pasted the restaurant every day for the past year and finally gave it a chance. The Garlic Chicken was awesome, the chicken was juicy and the rice was perfectly cooked. I have gone to other greek restaurants in the area and the chicken is usually dry. Crest Cafe is far superior over their compeditiors. Best of all the food was served fresh and quick, two things that are very much appreciated on an hour long lunch break. Im glad I finally gave one of Sacramento?s best kept secrets a chance. I will definitely be back!!!

Pros: garlic chicken, quick service

Cons: parking is difficult but they do validate for the garage across the street

1) Falafel was "instant" and not fresh and was very dry
2) pita falafel came on (not in) was so stale that it broke apart when I tried picking it up to eat
3) the hummus was terrible. It tasted more like ranch dressing that hummus...huh?
4) The AC was not working (in early August while it was 100+ degrees outside)
5) The service is as lazy as possible
6) I will not go back and will advise others to stay away from this place
