In this country cottage in the heart of Beverly Hills you can enjoy dining under the stars in the breath-taking front patio or the fountain garden with its retractable glass roof or by our fireplace underneath the fresco. Stucco walls and ceiling compliment the Tuscan country food, which includes a wide selection of traditional and creative Italian dishes. Once a home, it is now turned into a cozy restaurant for you to enjoy. Beginning May 14, Il Cielo will serenade their customers every Wednesday by hosting "Dining Under the Stars" with live music by Marco Masinato. Enjoy their special cocktail menu while you dine on their authentic and original Tuscan cuisine and listen to beautiful Italian music by Marco. This weekly event is reservation only, so call today for your place at Il Cielo for great cocktails, delicious Tuscan food and romantic Italian music under the stars.

The Scene
A twinkling canopy of lights, twining vines and flowers create a romantic courtyard setting among candles, Chianti and Italian ditties. The dim lighting is just right for the well-groomed California blonds and their starry eyed beaux.

The Food
Northern Italian favorites deliver both authenticity and extravagance, with dishes such as roasted Sonoma Valley squab and succulent, poached Australian lobster medallions. There's also stuffed zucchini blossoms and tender fried calamari. Branzino tradizionale--a whole striped sea bass grilled and baked with fresh herbs--exudes a subtle flavor and freshness that's offset by a gorgeous green-basil sauce. Pasta fans shouldn't miss the homemade chestnut pasta with fresh sage, butternut squash and walnuts in a delicate Parmesan sauce, a most harmonious combination. Perhaps L.A.'s most romantic dessert is the exquisite rose creme brulee, with shimmering candied rose petals.

Ratings_icons Special Occation Dining

Il Cielo is definately a special occation type of restaurant. If you want to have a nice romantic dinner with that special someone this is the place to take him or her. I wouldnt say the food is 5 star, but the ambiance certainly is.

Pros: Romantic, Good Service

Ratings_icons Dreadful food in Serene surroundings

WonderWoman68

While Il Cielo boasts one of the prettiest patios in LA, which seduces me to return every few years and is about that's about how long it takes to forget the fifth rate food, it is always a terrible disapponitment and a supreme waste of money. The food is bland, canned half the time and terrible. If this stuff was served at a cheap bistro in mid-America at half the price then fine. As it stands, shame on them.

Pros: Beautiful Enviorment, Good Service

Cons: Simply Awful Food, Wildly overpriced

Ratings_icons interesting vibe

Being in the heart of Hollywood you wouldnt think youd find such a great outdoor patio for dining. The crowd was quite eclectic when I went with a group on a Sat night. The music and mood were funky and the menu is interesting to boot. Go with an open mind.

Pros: patio

Ratings_icons Most Romantic Spot in LA

dioncampsanders

Il Cielo is where I proposed to the woman who is now my wife. It was the most romantic night of my life and I couldn't have pulled it off with such style and charm without the tremendous help and support I received from the staff at the restaurant. We sat outside under the stars in their beautiful courtyard and the waiter coached me along all night (because I was really nervous). The climax came at the end of our 3 course meal when they brought a hear-shaped piece of tirimisou (I can't spell) on a silver platter w/ rose petals strewn about the tray and "Marry Me" written in chocolate on the tray. The ring stood up out of one big rose in the center of the cake.

Pros: Great Ambiance, Excellent Wait Staff

Ratings_icons BAD CHAIRS !!!

MACEDIE

We went to dinner for my birthday,a friend told us it was a great place, so off we went. We had a great table on the patio, and after sitting for about 10 min., the chair my husband was on fell apart. The waiter came over to see if all was ok, we said yes. Ate dinner, small portions, but tasted great, as my husband was reaching for his wallet, his chair broke again !!! He's not a large guy, so that was not the problem, the waiter gave us a free botttle of water with their name on it to say sorry.Haven't been back, needless to say.
