It's not exactly a kid-friendly hotel. The room was pretty nice, but there wasn't much space. The hair dryer they had didn't even work there! Also, when my wife and I went to the beach, leaving our kids in the hotel room (and since they were there anyways, we didn't take the key), the security by the door wouldn't let us back into the hotel! They had to even confirm that we were staying at the hotel before they let us back in! (I guess they didn't think we looked wealthy enough to be staying there; the security appologized anxiously after the ordeal.) Needless to say, never going back there again.

Definitely one of the most luxurious hotels I've been to. Rich in style and colour, this cosmopolitan boutique hotel meets all the requirements of a 5 star hotel. My friends who were in town for a visit stayed here awhile ago and had nothing but great things to say about it. I had breakfast with them here and the food was spectacular. In-room and poolside spa services are also available. This is a hotel fit for royalties. Great for couples on a honeymoon as well as business travelers. Fabulous location as it is right by the Santa Monica pier, within walking distance to the mall, third street and the beach.

Friendly service for the fashionably chic. Thats what you will find at the VICEROY in Los Angeles. The staff here is worth every expensive penny you spend on the room. The concierge service is willing to do anything you need. Be it picking up a cage for your dog or a special drink that you cant live with out.

Never stayed at the hotel although i heard it is exquisite. The bar feature the young, hot and hip. The back patio/pool area is the saving grace of this hot spot. Cabanas can be rented for a nominal price (varies depending on night or day). You are sure to see a star here and plenty of plastic, if you know what i mean. Final word: great place to bring a date for dinner or drinks and THE place to be seen in Santa Monica.

Cameo Bar is a new bar trying to be cool. All flash no substance. The "Stars" that come here are lower class. The drinks are not that good.
