A jewel box dance floor in an old-timey roadhouse, with great blues and rock bands from all over, some of them old friends of the proprietress, who knows the music scene. Beers on the porch in the summer, margueritas around the fire in the winter, and dance your ankles off in a friendly, depressurized, "whoop n' holler" neighborhood environment. A yummy real-time fresh Mexican restaurant right there, and pool tables too. Worth a detour if it's a dance night, google Events.

A friend and I recently discovered the Riverwood Inn..after riding our bikes from Clear lake and all through the Redwoods we needed to find a place to stop for a while. I had heard about the Riverwood Inn from a friend so we stopped in. What a friendly place..in a short time the bartender had a coupla cold ones on the bar and had us set up in one of the 6 rooms they have downstairs. We settled in and then had dinner..some of the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time..Loved it..we are taking a group of friends back in Oct.
