Zarzuela

This place is very good. They had a wonderful lobster bisque and everything that had seafood in it was delicious. Unfortunately for my dinner companion who's a vegetarian, Zarzuela's vegetarian options leave much to be desired. But if you eat seafood and enjoy good tapas, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to you.

This is a wonderful, quaint tapas restaurant located in the heart of Russian Hill. The wait staff is so friendly, the food is delicious, there is no 'attitude'. The downside is that they don't take reservations and so the wait can be long. It's ok though, and worth the wait. It is also very affordable overall and never breaks the bank. A great place! (Don't sit downstairs or in the 'side' dining room - it's cramped - wait for a table in the main room)

CONS: Long waits, no reservations taken

This little restuarant tucked on Russian Hill in SF is one of my favorites. The tapas are exceptional and the staff is so very friendly. It is the perfect place to meet up with friends and share a glass of wine and many of their delicious dishes. It is vegetarian friendly as well as offering numerous meat dishes. I enjoy eating in the front area and looking out as the cable car passes by, however, there is a nice back room that is cozy and a bit more intimate.

PROS: Reasonable prices, vegetarian and meat lovers friendly, charming
CONS: none

Excellent spanish tapas, fun atmosphere. The octopus and potato dish is terrific.
