I would recommend this place to anyone who loves home cooked food. Holly has such a large menu, its hard to say what my favorite is. I am a breakfast person myself and they serve it seven days a week, all day. Someone else wrote that the local cops eat there, that is so true. They really make you feel like family.

WE go to LH Cafe often but have experienced rude and unwelcome service from the owner. Food is ok but pricey which I can deal with if service from the owner was better. \r\n\r\nMaybe the owner should stay in the back and let the staff take care of customers. Will never go back.

This place totally rocks! Breakfast and lunches are better than mom use to make. Great to get home cookin' and not have to do the dishes. All the desserts are awesome, but if they are ever serving up the Red Velvet Cake, when you visit be sure to order and eat it before that mind blowing burger! No one ever leaves this place dissatisfied. The locals love it and visitors come from everywhere just to eat there. As for the parking,......... why go to Pacific Grove if you aren't going to walk the charming streets after you eat to work it off anyway????? It's all part of the charm!

Holly's Lighthouse Cafe is a gorgeous cafe. The food is especially delicious. The only con is probably the parking, but besides that it's delightful! We were seated promptly and the food arrived fairly quickly, and of course the beverages. I especially like the Boston Clam Chowder. But keep in mind that it usually is only served Fridays. Anyways, the hot sandwiches are tasteful on cold days. The waitresses/waiters are helpful and the bathrooms are clean. It is also close to some attractions if you like. I definitly recommend Holly's, for it is a welcoming Cafe in Pacific Grove.

Pros: Everything! ( Besides parking! )

Cons: Not a lot of room for parking.

Holly's is a locals favorite. I've seen the PG cops stop in to get their lunch to go, and the news crew from KION (they often interview people out front for their man on the street bits, or come in and interview the waitresses) Everything here is good, but my favorites are the Castroville omelet - artichoke hearts, tomatoes and jack cheese, and the Holly's salad - artichoke hearts, tomatoes, feta cheese and more. Both have lots of artichoke hearts. The soups are really good and homemade. I love the Boston tomato, really rich with a dollop of sour cream on top. Only open for breakfast and lunch. We eat here at least once or twice a week. Can be a little busy at lunch, but you can often get at seat at the counter right away.

After being disappointed at Red House Cafe (who was not open for breakfast), we took the short walk to Holly's Lighthouse Cafe, and it was worth every step! We were greeted with fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, and they have more than a few breakfast specials. The biscuits and gravy was great, as were the lox eggs benedict. The hollandaise was a bit thicker than I'm used to, but the eggs were poached perfectly.
