This place is okay. The food is decent. The best think it has going for it is probably the dancing late at night. So, the bar scene here is much better than the restaurant scene.

Pasta Q is located downtown, a convenient place to eat after shopping. The food is delicious, but pricey and not particularly healthy. The atmosphere is more sophisticated and not as family friendly as other restaurants.

The pasta here is pretty good. It's a little pricey and for something similar I prefer the atmosphere at Caffe Italia, but Pasta Q seems a little nicer and the service is good.

A great restaurant is 50% food and 50% everything else. Pasta is a great restaurant. First, excellent red sauces, excellent veal! Second the staff is great! Many of them are from italy and are very eager to recommend a good dish and a good bottle of wine. Marciello is a great restaurant manager and has great stories about italy so dont be afraid to ask for him!!! Third I wouldnt go on sunday or monday night as all the best staff have the night off and fourth, the portions aren't big here so order an appetizer or two, get a bottle of wine, and try the dessert, come on you're in Italy! If only for a few hours.
Starting with the appetizers. The Bruschetta is very good, delicatley seasoned and well portioned. However for the more adventurous the Carpaccio (thinly sliced raw beef) is an excellent starter. Layered under a bead of arugula and seasoned with olive oil, capers, fresh ground pepper, and the addition of shaved parmesan (upon request) make this truly a great dish.
As the name hints there is a very good selection of Pastas to choose from. My favorite is the "Fusili con Salsiccia", a spicy sausage red sauce and fusili noodles, that I have ordered nearly 50 times. The "Bolognese" is also very good as is the Lasagna. I also recommend a look at the specials on the second page as they change every night and are often seafood dishes.
The larger plates are also very nice, and as I said before, the veal is not to be missed. Served with great roasted potatoes and even better steamed spinach make this another favorite of mine. Many of the main plates are quite nice but I would stick with the chickens and fish as the red meat is only so so. The desserts are another high point, and I would recommend getting a latte whether you try one or not. I recommend the tatrufo, panicotta, and the cannoli, and that whatever you order remember this is an authentic Italian restaurant so relax, don't rush, and just enjoy Italy, at least a piece of it anyways.

Strangely unauthentic Italian food for a restaurant owned and operated by real Italians. But for an American audience, it beats Olive Garden or Strings. I had the Penne Norcina, which was pretty tasty. The coffee (by that I mean espresso) is better than most restaurants or for that matter most cafes in Davis. They use Miscela d'Oro coffee. My shot was pretty good, though a little long. Overall pretty decent, but it is what it is.

My husband and recently made our first visit to this restaurant on a busy Friday night to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We thought the pasta was excellent. Salads were more than so-so but not divine. Desserts, however, were ambrosia. Families, couples, and students were present. Prices seemed comparable to quality of food served, but a bit expensive to dine there regularly. We'll go on special occasions. We were seated immediately and served just as quickly. We will definitely be back. Not disappointed at all.

If you go to Pasta? order pasta. The truth is, the meat dishes are really pretty bad and the salads pretty so/so. Even the pasta is not spectacular. But, it is pretty cheap. I won't go back.

I loved Pasta? I just got back with a friend, and we are both very full, adn so are our wallets. What they say about good pricing, and good food is on the money. I loved their staff, they were very courteous, and very fast at serving. My tip was almost as much as my meal. My most recomended dish would have to be Spaghetti Miramare. I love seafood, and theirs was very fresh. You should definately try Pasta? if you wasnt Italian food made by Italian people.
