This is a cute little place that offers wine tastings all the time. They put out a full cheese spread to go with it. The price is good, and the wines are always delish!

Although a previous reviewer had a bad experience with the food, my experience has been just the opposite. I took a business associate there for dinner and we were both delighted with the food and the service even though the place was quite busy. It was a Tuesday and they wave the corkage fee so you can take your great bottle of wine and dine relatively inexpensively. If you don't go on Tues. the wine list is very good and the prices are moderate. It can be a bit noisy when the place is full and the parking lot is limited so that often one is forced to find street parking. But overall it is a very worthwhile dining experience.

Pros: Food, service

Cons: Can be noisy, limited parking

The menu looks great, but the execution is horrible. With the exemption of one good appetizer, all of my party's food had to be sent back. Filet over cooked, the pasta dish had no flavor, and the duck was unrecognizable. The second round was better, but not nearly up to the quality it should have been. Save your time and money and go somewhere you know is good. Not worth it!!!!!!

Really good California and Mediterranean inspired dishes. I can't decide if the lamb shank or the Provencal lamb is my favorite. Lots of seafood, too, I didn't try the fish but my friend loved hers both times we went. But it's really about the wine - some of their bottles are priced lower than some wine shops, and everything is unbelievably cheap for a restaurant. Really good Central Coast selection, some great small producers, plus some of the big names from Napa & Sonoma. On Fridays they have awesome wine tastings - practically all you can drink for $25, plus there's a free buffet. The bartenders at the tastings are uber-wine geeks if you're into that, but I just like to go and drink really good wine and check out the scene. Alltogether, a very cool place to eat and the best place to try better wines without breaking the bank

Pros: Wine list, wine prices.

Cons: Gets loud inside when it's busy.

Chef/owner Chuck Samuelson melds the flavors of Asia, the Mediterranean and California into his own style of new American comfort foods served with exuberant wines and a lagoon view. Its fine dining with a beach neighborhood feel.
Great place to eat after a stroll along the beach and/or after catching a sunset
