The food here is pretty good (Hong Kong style) and is a reasonable price. The service, however, is not that great; but overall, its a good place to go chill and eat with friends and family.

One of my favorite cafe. Great food and lots of selection of foods to choose from. Great for friends to hang out. Not so pricey.

Pros: Great food, great place to hang out w/ friends

Cons: some of the staffs are very rude, service inconsistent

The food is very good. Hongkong style. The lunch is cheaper. I like their mango salard, fish, and many other things. They have recently increased the price. But still reasonable.

I don't understand why they treat their customers like "I don't give a thing if you will come back or not" They just don't care. However, their stir-fry stuffs (esp. Dry stir-fry beef noodles) are pretty good. So I will never dine-in at Garden Cafe again, but will order to-go from them.

PROS: Some good foods.
CONS: worst service!!

Good food for those late nights--this place is open late, so you can always count on it after clubbing or whatnot. It's Hong Kong style which means you can get all sorts of hearty cantonese food, and also get your steak and fries. It's that British influence, I guess. During the day though, there are just many more places in Monterey Park where you could get better food.

With the new renovations, it has very warm atmosphere, however, a little bit noisy. This is a Hong Kong style cafe. The food is excellent with very inexpensive price. It all has very big portion. Try to go there before noon on the weekend, or you will be waiting.

There are not that many cafe's like this anymore (like Helena's and Savoy in the 80's era) But this place opens 24 hours I believe and they do serve good food. A combination of Hong Kong style Cantonese food mixed with western flare; anywhere from "wonton egg noodle soup" to "fillet mignon". A good place to hang out with friends.
It gets pretty busy on weekends and wait time can be pretty long.

Not the greatest place, but will fill your stomach during late nights.

Garden Cafe is one of the better "Soy Sauce Western Style" restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley. A popular place for Asians. The food quality is adequate. The price is reasonable. It is not a restaurant for special occasions, rather it is a place for daily "good value" meals.
