Pho Mai 1 is the place to go if you are in the mood for noodles at a cheap price. I like the fact that the food is not only terrific, but very healthy.

I went to Pho Mai for dinner after shopping at Target (it's in the same plaza). The beef pho noodle soup I had was delicious so I brought my friend to visit the next week. I had the rice noodle salad with grilled pork and shrimp at my second visit. Really tasty. I have been to several restaurants in Milpitas, so far it is my favorite.

Pros: Great food

Cons: Can be crowded

I eat here at least once a week, usually more! Unless you come between 12 and 1 you won't have to wait for a table (unless you have a big group). The staff is very friendly and can assist you if you've never had Vietnamese food before. The menu is easy to read and includes a lot of pictures to help you decide. Orders come up quick and are fresh, hot and delicious. Everything is very reasonably priced. I highly recommend my usual lunch order: An XL #2 (pho with round eye beef), an order of #29 (shrimp and pork spring rolls) and either tea, water or a boba (bubble tea). Never fails to fill me up!
