My dog recently stopped eating. I took her to McClave in the valley and was charged what I thought was an egregious amount of $325 to do some blood work and put a water pack in the dog. They prescribed some medicine for her that was for extreme nausea when she had only vomited the one time before stopping eating. And since she wasn't eating, would have been impossible to administer.

Avoid McClave and save yourself some money.

I then took her to Dr Morley who gave her a shot of antibiotics and said that she would start eating which she did. However, in a few short days, she stopped eating again, so he decided to do an xray which revealed fluid in her abdomen. He drained approximatly 16 oz of 'pus' form her abdomen. Then he asked for permission to do an exploratory surgery to determine the cause of the pus that was coming from an infection. He found out that even though the dog was from the pound and should have been spayed, she was not and had a severe case of pyometra which could have killed her if it had not been found.

He is a miracle worker as we still have our beautiful Jeannie and at a price that I'm sure whould have been in the thousands with McClave was under $800 with everything including 4 nights stay monitored at the hospital being looked after by his caring and compassionate staff.

I have been fortunate enough to have met with Dr. Morley. I am an animal lover who is always bringing in hte stray cat or dog that needs medical attention. I have quite a few animals of my own also. I have been to many vets throughout the valley, and many of them seem to not have the experience to recognize what is going on in an animal and the animal either declines or many useless tests, that say nothing, are ordered. Mr. Morley has always charged me a fair price and has always been extremely compassionate with all of my animals. I have been bringing my best friends to Morley for 7 years, and I will continue to do so! He has brought more than 1 of my cats back from the brink of death.

Morley Real loves what he does. Every time I bring an animal into Morley, he knows exactly what is going on. He has many years of experience and has seen it all. He doesn't run a bunch of unneccesary tests and pile up your bill. He treats what the cause is. If a test is necessary, he will run it. I have brought many animals in including kittens, cats and my pride and joy, Buddy the dog. Morley has worked on cut paws, upper respiratory infections, allergic reactions and much more.

Took my beloved Tigger (kitty) in on Monday. The Vet thought it was a virus. Morley said he had a temp of 104. He gave him a shot of ABX. I called him though out the day, because I could see Tigger was going down hill and Morley kept saying give it time. Tigger kept getting sicker...took him back next day and told the Vet to do blood work...he said it would be back by Thursday. Tigger got worse though the day...took to an other Vet and he was put in ICU with dangerous low temp of 90. Learned this morning Tigger is Diabetic type 1 is very serious condition and may die. Tigger update my cat died because of this stooge of a Veterian yes he is cheap if you don't mind him misdiogisis your pet and dying.

Will not be going back...

I've been lucky to know Dr.Morley and his wonderful wife in a professional/semi-personal relationship for 27years. He's been the doctor to four of my "best friends" over the years and has always shown genuine caring, compassion whether in a crisis or routine visit and in a very calming manner. You can trust him and his judgment. You just know he LOVES his profession, helping all animals. I am grateful to have a doctor that cares, and NOT just about money. He's a gem!!!! Thank you Dr. Morley for all those years and the ones to come.

My dad started taking our pets to Dr. Morley has since the late-1970's. I didn't realize Dr. Morley's dedication to animals until I was a college student and I took in my dog, my best friend, because he was dying. Dr. Morley looked nearly as heart-broken as I felt. I realized then that he went into this business not out of a love of money, fame or any self-serving purposes. Dr. Morley went into the business of taking care of animals simply because he LOVES ANIMALS.
I have to say the same about his staff - the staffers come in during off-hours to check on injured or sick pets, play with boarded animals or simply make sure the guests are doing well. The thought of Dr. Morley retiring sends me in a panic! My husband and I live in the north-east corner of the valley and drive nearly 45 minutes to take our two dogs to see Dr. Morley, or to be boarded in Dr. Morley's clinic. And, our own two little boys know Dr. Morley by name, and come along on the dogs' visits, as they know Dr. Morley takes care of our family.
God bless Dr. Morley, and may he continue his goodwill for a long time to come...

I first met Dr. Morley 24 years ago. I had picked a dog up off the street after being hit by a car (like too many, the driver drove away when they saw someone had stopped) anyways, I called Actors for Animals and they referred me to Dr. Morley. Dr. Morley was wonderful! He bandaged the dogs wounds, gave him a shot and sent him home, our home. The years went on and we continued to bring Charlie for his visits. Dr. Morley has always made me feel comforted with his knowledge and by his peaceful manner. Even when the end had come Dr. Morley made it all a little more bearable with his genuine concern. How many vets do you know that would take the time to console you and not charge an arm and leg! I continued bringing in the 13 cats and then came another new best friend, Aussie. They lived great lives with the help of Dr. Morley who treated them all with great care till the end. Now, I have brought a new challenge to Dr.Morley, a crazy chocolate lab that just makes Dr. Morley shake his head. "The doctor" has been part of our lives for years and his kind heart and knack with animals has been greatly appreciated. His fees have barely gone up, especially in these tough times. His wife and staff are a true pleasure to talk to! When ever an emergency arrived, which unfortunately they do, I could make the call and Dr. Morley would be with my sick friend in a matter of minutes! He has been such a comfort and will continue to be the one we turn to. Thank you so much Dr. Morley!!

We took our beloved turtle in because he was lethargic, constantly dry docking and his eyes were cloudy. Dr. Morley looked at him and decided to "give him something to perk him up," meaning a vitamin shot. When I reminded hm about the eyes being cloudy he said "okay, i'll give him some drops." It was the most half-assed veterinary exam I have ever witnessed for an animal. As we were leaving they asked us to call them and let them know how our turtle was doing as they cared about him. Our turtle died two weeks later. We blame Dr. Morley and his poor veterinary skills. He appeared to be more of a turtle fan then someone actually trained to care for turtles. Do not take your turtles here unless you want them to die.

Cons: bad location, bad vet, smells bad

Dr. Morley and his staff care! It is nice to go to a vet who has the animals best interest at heart and isn't looking to nickel and dime you with every test and procedure that isn't necessary. Every time I have called the staff is pleasant and helpful. I had one vet for years that I trusted 100%. He retired and I went through two years of various vets and was disappointed with most. I am pleased to say I have found Dr. Morley and his staff, who now have a loyal fan. I highly recommend Morley Animal Hospital.

Several years ago a friend of mine who owned 4 dogs recommended Dr. Morley for my 2 airedales. I had been going to another vet who was a part of group of impersonal, revolving door vets with rude and impersonal asistants. Dr. Morley and his staff were just the opposite. Dr. Morley's approach of "let's not panic" and "let's try the simple approach first" has worked for my "kids". My female is 12 and going strong, and her son is 8, and is right behnd her. I have moved out of the SFV for the last 2 years - living in Canyon Country, but still take my dales to Dr. Morley for fair prices and excellent, warm, "good old days" kind of servce.

About 2 weeks ago we found 4 baby kitty's approx 2 weeks old. the cat lover I am brought them home and have been bottle feeding them. well yesterday one of them was acting funny and his leg was swollen.i thought maybe he got stepped on and was either broken or dislocated. I took him to two different vets yesterday, VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital and Southern Ca Vet Hospital.Southern Ca Vet Hospital wouldn't even look at him unless i made an appointment or they could take him right then but i would have to pay double for the office visit. VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital the vet tech looked at him said he definitely needed x rays that with the office visit would be $220 dollars that I don't have. I took my kitty home because that vet tech also said the injury wasn't life threatening and could Waite till the next day. I went home crushed because i had spent two weeks mothering them and it looked like i might loose one because I couldn't afford a vet. A friend of mine put in a call to a family friend who owns EE Pet Kennel off of Muholand she in turn referred me to Morley Animal Hospital. when I walked in I was greeted by the nicest people. Dr Morley came out while i was filling out paper work and took the sick kitty while the other three were being loved on by the nurses. by the time I walked up with the paperwork not 5 minuets later Dr. Morley without x-ray's advised me the kitty was not broken he had an abscess. he then took his temp and told me it was 105 witch is dangerously high. that's funny the other place told me it wasn't life threatening well he was wrong. Anyway Dr. Morley gave the kitty a shot and some medicine to give him at home. the grand total for everything $56. thank you Dr. Morley for caring more about my kitty than how much money you could get out of me. its nice to know there are still good people out there that care about something other than the all mighty dollar. you guys rock!
