I was totally turned off by seeing Shark Fin Soup on the menu. This is a cruel and inhumane practice where shark are caught in the wild , their fins are cut off and they are thrown back in the water to die\r

I love Hop Li in Chinatown and was happy to find that they had a branch on the Westside. Great Chinese food - the steamed fish with ginger and green onion is particularly good. Parking and the wait can be difficult.

People kept on recommending Hop Li to me, so I decided to try it. It was good, decent Chinese food, but being from San Gabriel Valley, I could've gotten the same meal (amount and quality) at a lower price.

Hop Li here in the West side has fresh dishes from their shrimps, Chinese broccoli, string beans, Mongolian beef and just about anything you order. The parking is a little bit of a hassle. Never been here for dinner, but lunch can get a bit crowded with limited parking spaces..

Actual Chinese food on the West Side! Nice restaurant. It is unfortunately costly, much more so than for similar food in Diamond Bar. Soups are quite tasty.

It's hard to find really good Chinese food on the westside. Hop Li is the sister restaurant of one in Chinatown, and it doesn't disappoint. The menu is very extensive, and the food is more authentically Chinese than anything around it. They always have new specials and are rated very hi in Zagat's as well as on Citysearch. I keep their menu in my car for those nights when I need some take out and it is always piping hot and ready to go when i arrive. If you live on the westside and have a hankering for some quality Chinese, try out Hop Li!
