The reviewer below should change "where the rich people are" to "where the drunk people are." If you come here on a weekend night, be prepared to stand next to a bunch of jerks in striped shirts who probably just ordered mojitos at matrix and a bunch of spray-tanned blondes asking each other whether they should text their ex-boyfriends. When it gets busy like this, the staff may take shortcuts and you may find that your pizza isn't a) what you ordered b) warm or c) edible (unless you are also intoxicated.) That said, this place is perfectly fine during "normal" hours -- any time before the bars close.
Pizza is fantastic! I found this place late night after bar hopping on Filmore. Was great when drunk so I decided to order from them one night for dinner. It was just as good so it wasn't just the late night drunken stupor craving. Not sure if they still have the deal, but every time you order, you get a magnet. Save 10, and you get a free pizza.
Because I am a certified fan. It's official. I love the pizza here, particularly, the doggie style and the girl from Impanema. Tasty food is a treasure to eat. You only have one mouth, and one set of taste buds. Why not be good to them?
Pros: Tasty Pizza
I can't speak to the Fillmore location, but pizza from the Clement store is truly awful (and overpriced to boot). I had it once 6 months ago, and didn't like it. Just tried it again, thinking maybe the first time was a fluke. Nope. They try to be hip by offerring unusual toppings, and by giving their pizza's provocative names, but this is Domino's quality pizza at triple the cost. Stay away.
I haven't dined inside the restaurant, but once ordered a pizza for delivery, key word: ONCE. Overly long wait time, soggy cold pizza and limp veggies.I should have known better than to try the Clement location, but I gave it a chance and it was twice as bad.
Pros: slightly better than frozen
I tend to live by the ""less is more"" philosophy when it comes to pizza and usually order plain slices. But....the Pizza Orgasmica with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, and more more more is just delish. The Hula Hula, my fiance's favorite, is quite good too although I still think it's strange to put pineapple on a pizza. We went inside the first time because we couldn't resist the amazing smells drifting out onto the sidewalk. We've eaten in and had delivery and always had a great experience. There are some options on the menu that I'll never try (refried beans? clams? cheddar garlic sauce?), but I'll eat some of the more basic items any time!
They are responsible for at least 10 pounds around my middle, but I cannot say no to their hula hula pizza. They deliver within 45 minutes and are always nice on the phone. My favorite in the city.
First of all, this is only pizza in the loosest sense of the word -- a round crust like thing with stuff on top. I personally really like this place. The Serpent's Kiss is tasty, with sliced zuchinni, roasted chicken, and a garlic/butter sauce. But this is not really pizza. I've only had it delivered, and it's really overpriced IMO. A large pie with what the toppings I like is easily $30, so try and have someone else pay for it! So if you are new to Pizza Orgasmica, keep an open mind and you might just enjoy it.
Pros: Very tasty combos
Cons: Expensive for crust with stuff on top
Very comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food. Highly recommended. Not your ordinary, common restaurant.
Pros: pricing, excellent food, good area
Cons: more locatins needed, N/A, N/A
Maybe it's my east coast roots and knowing what REAL NYC/New Haven pizza tastes like, but cold, thick, dry bland crusted pizza is not Orgasmica. It's not even good. How this place made second place is anyone's guess. Go buy supermarket Celeste pizza if you want this flavor and it's cheaper too. Horrid.
Cons: Pizza, Crust
Can't go wrong with cornmeal crust. Best pizza in the city.
First time eating there. I felt it was way over priced for what you get. Not much toppings. Lacking in flavor. Small sizes. Do not pay extra for the white wine sauce. You can't even taste it and if I didn't personally order it, I would have thought there was no sauce at all
Cons: , lacking flavor
They sent the wrong one at first, but no hassles what-so-ever with sending out the correct one. The pizza was just ok, maybe had I went to the location it would have been better but the taste was okay. I'm from Boston and LOVE Pizza it wasn't the worst I've ever had but it wasn't Orgasmic for me either.
Pros: The Deliver, Taste fine
I read a previous recommendation before going to San Francisco. Then our cabbie said this pizza was orgasmic! We couldn't wait. Well, two of us disagree. It was open and did serve pizza which was nice because we were hungry. However, the cold pizza was barely edible. And, the t-shirt someone talked about? It wasn't even cute! What a shame.
There are not many places in the city that have pizza this good, but man... what you have to endure.
The last three times I've called, the staff has rude and the delivery time has taken well over an hour...with the pizza always cold when it comes. The last time, it was two hours and the staff didn't seem to think that was unusual.
If you don't mind horrible service, 2 hours for delivery and heating up a good cold pizza, this is the place for you.
Pros: good pizza
Cons: , rude staff, long delivery wait
Stop in visit with the Staff they are the Best, nicest, people in San Francisco. My friend and I were there just before the Grand Opening and the owner stopped by the table chated for a while and made sure everything was too our high standards. I have sampled Pizza in every city I have ever been to and I can say Pizza Ogasmica (both locations) has been in the top 10 for more then 3 years now. Make sure you pick up a T-Shirt it's a great conversation starter...
Pros: Food is fantastic, People are terrific
Want that delicious taste of pizza, but don't feel like going to the typical pizza place setting - dirty, screaming kids, ripped leather booths? Well, this is the place for you! The ambiance of the restaurant is different than any pizza place I have ever been to! There are two rooms - one is equipped with low-sitting tables and bench-style seating with cushions, the other regular table setting (no booths) with a lovely fireplace - perfect for those cold SF nights! And the food - oh! Pizza to die for. Unique combinations and even the option to create your own!! The greek salad is excellent! Go with an empty stomach because you will get full bu all the tasty food. Many vegetarian options. Don't let the name scare you away, there is nothing erotic about the restaurant except the names of the pizzas. Perfect for dates, friends, and large groups!
Pros: great pizza, ambiance, unique
I love Pizza Orgasmica, but the other night I ordered a large Sicilian and it was the worst thing I've ever eaten. I don't know if it was an off night for them or if their pizza making ability just sucks, but the crust was too thick and hard, almost stale, and the cheese on top was not what I requested it to be (I paid extra for provolone and got mozzarella). The cheese was also patially uncooked, which made for a very hard to eat, unsatisfying meal. Don't order the Sicilian. Soggy, stale, sucky.
Pizza was cold and lacked in flavor. I asked for my a box for my slice to go and had to argue with man at the counter just for a box to carry my pizza in.
Don't waste your time and money. Even more important...dont ask for a to go box...they'll bite your head off
Cons: Horrible Service, Horrible Pizza
I love the decor of this place. It's great for groups and the food is good.
Pros: Good Service, Good Parking, Romantic
This is the best pizza in the city (so far). Great late night eats, and they deliver. The chicken, zuccini, and onion is tops. I think this is as good as any of the pizzas I had while in Chicago. No ambiance, aside from long lines at night. Kind of expensive, but worth it.
It's the closest you get to New York Pizza in this town. It's worth the travel from North Beach, where you'd think you could get good pizza. The personell are friendly, and sevice is fast. It's pricy, but good pizza is hard to come by in San Francisco.
Friendly staff, orgasmic pizza... you can't beat that! Try the marinated shrimp and roasted potatos... yummy! The best pizza I have ever had.
i loved the pizza and friendly people. the interior is decorated beautifully and the catchy names are inventive.
Pros: good parking
Great and the fun names are hilarious!! You can depend on having a good pie every time.
