I purchased my first Lexus at Putnam Lexus and had a great experience, sales and service. The drive was a bit too far from home (SF), so I've changed over to Coliseum Lexus. The service department has been perfect. Appointments have been easy to arrange on the telephone or website. Loaners, shuttle, and complimentary car washes have all been easy, but I have always requested these services, in advance. The waiting area is clean and comfortable.

I purchased my first Lexus at Putnam Lexus and had a great experience, sales and service. The drive was a bit too far from home (SF), so I've changed over to Coliseum Lexus. The service department has been perfect. Appointments have been easy to arrange on the telephone or website. Loaners, shuttle, and complimentary car washes have all been easy, but I have always requested these services, in advance. The waiting area is clean and comfortable.

Service is always good at Lexus, both with the car and customer. People don't tell you where to go, they show you. Price is always going to be steep, but you get what you pay for when it comes to car service. Sure they recommend a lot of repairs. Duh! It's a dealership. At least they make a point in telling you everything that is worn on your vehicle, repairs are always optional. Car always comes out clean, it shows they care about the customer, and at $190 for routine service they better! My suggestion, get on their mailing list and wait for the $25 OFF coupon.

Tony, one of the master technicians, also goes out of his way to make sure I understand the fixes and recalls that are being done on my car. Because of him, I feel safe and assured that my car is running at it's best.

I've also been there a few times in which Michael has been my service consultant. He always says hi to me and makes me feel welcomed. My service was done quickly and he got me out of there in time! He's knowledgeable and just like Walter, makes sure that I understand what is happening with my car.

Eric and DJ showed us a car which we liked. Before the negotiations started, we requested to be home by 10pm. Unlike my last experience with buying a car (a 7 hour negotiation process) we were DONE in 20 mins! That's right- 20 minutes. AMAZING!

The car needed to be detailed and we were told to pick it up the next day. We went the next day and some work was still left to be done. Instead of rescheduling, DJ sent us home in our new car and told us that while my husband is at work, he will send someone to PICK UP the car, LEAVE ANOTHER CAR, and drop it off by end of day. Wow talk about service!

I can't say enough about this dealership and folks that work there. They are amazing. My wife and I decided to trade in her Mercedes for a Lexus ES350. We shopped the various Lexus dealers in the bay area and got mixed results. Some dealerships were ok while others where horrible (real slicky boys). I called Coliseum and spoke to the Fleet Manager, DJ San Juan. It was so refreshing to talk to a real human being rather than a shark. The long story told short is that we ended up getting the ES350 and we were so happy with the entire experience two weeks later I traded in my Mercedes for an LS460. The pricing was very aggressive (better than anything you read about online at Edmunds, Vehix etc) and we didn't have to endure the ""what's it gonna take to get you to drive off the lot"" crap. As you can imagine there was a lot of interaction with everyone at the dealership in order to buy 2 cars and trade in 2 cars. We needed some clarification concerning leasing policy so had to contact Lexus HQ. In the end everyone got involved including Jeremy Davis (the manager) and Frank Dizadji (finance) and Mike Diep. Everyone was fantastic. This was without a doubt the best car buying experience I ever had and can't imagine ever using a different dealership.
P.S. Linda has it right. We switched from Mercedes to Lexus and love our cars, and yes DJ rocks!

I brought in my Lexus and they performed the 15,000 mile service. No hiccups, straight forward in dealing with them. However, I did wish they had a better loaner - got a Toyota. Figure the cost of what I was paying should get a better loaner especially when there were some warranty claims. Overall, happy with their service and the coffee!!

Came here on a whim to meet my sister who was purchasing her vehicle here. I had no intention on driving off the lot in my own Lexus.....but i did! As my sis was finishing up her financials on her new vehicle I was roaming the lot with Eric (salesman who has since moved on) and just happened to turn my interest in several beauties on the lot. Ended up taking a test drive in an RX. And there it was, I was hooked. I loved the fact that its a mid size SUV with a sedan feel. I didn't particularly like the model I test drove (body style only), yes I'm picky. so I then continued roaming the lot and they all happen to be the same year BOO it wasn't meant to be so I decided to flub the idea of getting a new car that nite. As my sis my taking pics with her new car and that big red bow I happen to stumble on an RX with the EXACT body style I wanted!!!! Where was it earlier? I could have sworn we checked the inventory and walked the lot about 10 times but there ""Lily"" was smiling back at me. My trade in process took about 45 mins and I closed up shop with the Lexus crew that so graciously showed me that purchasing a car isn't an intimidating jolt at all. Thanks to Eric (my salesman who has since left), Eddie (Finance Dept), Joey (Finance Dept) and Jeremy (#1 salesman!!) for making my 1st car buying experience one I'd never forget. Alan is our usual contact for maintenance. He's always around for our questions and concerns and very helpful. I haven't gotten a chance to meet him myself since the hubby is the designated car caretaker. I'll have to pop my head in for a huge THANKS.

Their service consultants are pompous jerks who think very highly of themselves while providing very bad service. As a result, I have been afraid to take my car to a dealership.
However, since moving to the Bay Area, I needed a place to take my car to get serviced. Coliseum Lexus in Oakland has one of the best servicing departments I have ever seen. Even though it is smaller than say a bigger dealership, they make up for it in their customer service.
My service consultant is Walter and he has been a friend and a great service consultant. He listens to all your problems and goes out of his way to help his customers. Even when I was in my first accident, I called him and he helped me to take care of my problem, even calling the lady that hit me to tell her the cost of the repair. The other service consultants are great (Michael etc.) however, Walter is the person that I go to. He's extremely busy BUT he always makes time for his customers. Whenever Walter is taking care of me and my car, I never have any worries and I'm always beyond satisfied with the service that I have received. Tony is one of the technicians that takes cares of my car. He has been the best, explaining every single repair and thing that he has done for my car. You can request him but like I said before, no matter which technician you go with, you can't go wrong at Oakland Lexus. However, with Tony and Walter, for sure you can't go wrong!

This is an excellent dealership. Even though I have moved to SF since buying my RX 330, I still trek on over to Coliseum Lexus for all my service needs. Usually a dealership is nice to you at the purchase stage and a total ripoff for service, but this place is different. They are ALWAYS prompt and courteous, they give me discounts and deals even when I don't ask for them, and my vehicle is always serviced perfectly. The free carwashes and warm cookies in the waiting room are a nice added bonus. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and will definitely buy my next Lexus here.

My husband and I strolled into this dealership with little to no expectations, anticipating aggressive, comission-hungry salespeople. We were approached right away but we could tell right away Jeremy, our sales guy was not at all sleazy.

The salesperson did not insult our intelligence or disregard the fact that we came well prepared and well researched. Compared to the dealers at BMW you automatically feel like you're being hustled. We didn't get an inkling of this at Lexus.

OK, so I am the kind of guy who never trades in a car, but keep 'em until I run 'em into the ground. I'm the guy, after all, who got over 275,000 from my 1978 Renault R5 GTL (aka "Le Car") !!!
So about a year ago, my 2000 Saab -- now owned by General Motors -- was beginning to make me nervous. Little things were starting to go wrong, and -- well, it's a GM car! So . . . I came to the conclusion, after a couple of big repairs, that I needed to buy a new car to replace my Saab 9-3, and I was looking at BMWs (why? no, really -- why?) and Audis (maybe) and who-knows-what-else and someone asked me if I'd looked at Lexus.
I stopped and remembered my 1985 Toyota "Versateller" -- you know, that Toyota Corolla station wagon that looked like an ATM machine from the back? -- that finally died after I put 325,000-plus miles on it. It sure did last. And Lexus is Toyota and . . .
So I went to Coliseum Lexus and got a GREAT deal on a 2007 Lexus ES350! Not only did they find the car I wanted, in exactly the right color and equipment, but service after the sale has been outstanding! (Eric J. is absolutely right: "Much less pretentious than those german luxury dealers.") I've had the car now for almost 14 months, and it's been a dream to own, there have been no problems, and the service department has always retturned my car in spotless condition.
So now it's August 2007, and my wife's Dodge SUV is acting up a bit. Bottom line: it took a little over 3 weeks to find the right one, but we have a brand-new 2007 Lexus RX400 hybrid from Coliseum Lexus. Again, buying from Coliseum Lexus was a breeze.

My concerns were affordability, design, and I also had to rebuild my credit so I ended up with a cute little Toyota Scion.
Me and my best friend went together and it was just a great experience all around. We both ended up buying cars, me a Scion and her a Lexus.They had me in a reliable car with a great warranty . The monthly payment is super low and the car is great on gas. I couldn't ask for a more perfect match on what was good for me. Although when the time is right I would definitely go back and upgrade to a IS250.

After sawing off an arm and a leg as down payment for the lexus, I was still beaming. =D I giggle like a little school girl everytime I see that black sapphire leather interior is250 sitting in that parking space. ahhh...so onto my update:
WOW, what a huge difference the 2nd time around! After searching for over 3 weeks, i still had not located a good price for my lexus. When i decided I was going to put off car-buying for a while, I received a phone call from DJ. I told him about my first meh experience, and he asked for a 2nd chance. I thought, what the heck, let's see what this guy can do. Plus, a guy with a name like DJ's gotta be ultra cool.Cool Indeed! I was over 2 hours late(on asian time), and he still accomodated me. I showed him a quote from Putnam Lexus and he politely decilned my offer but came back with a counter offer. After a couple minutes of going back and forth, we finally decided on a price that I liked. I walked away beaming and completely satisfied.DJ is so awesome, I cannot say enough good things about him. He was friendly, courteous, polite, knowledgeable. He acted like my friend, and i felt like he really wanted my business. He WORKED for me and now i can thank him for my sexy lexus. =)

While doing the paperwork, i had to get someone to co-sign for me and the only person who could do that was my uncle in san jose. Pilar was kind enough to bring the paperwork to my uncle and back to the dealership the same night. By the time she came back to the dealership, it was already 10PM.
