I LOVE PHO! My first time at Pho Ca Dao! YUM! I give it a 4.9 and not a 5 is because the guy got my order wrong. I got a regular #1 instead of JUMBO! Its all good, I still love that guy. Good place to eat if you want to skip class :)

Right near SDSU it's our pick to have quick cheap and easy Vietnamese food. My friends and I go here all the time, and we have been introducing it to a variety of people. They all pretty much fall in love with PHO all together. Kudos Pho Ca Dao for harboring all those memories!

The best pho I've had in San Diego for a cheap price and there's plenty of sitting room for everyone. Standard pho by appearance but for some reason every time I go there I always end up finishing my bowl...it might be that they're vegetables are extra fresh along with their meat.

I live in LA now, but when I make it down to San Diego I still go back to Pho Ca Dao. You can eat for less than $10 per person including tip EASILY, and the food is fresh and consistently great. The service is non-intrusive and all business - Unless it's crowded, they practically wave you through the door straight to your table. I usually have my food less than 5 minutes after I get seated, even at busier times. It's a no frills establishment, but it's clean and the bathrooms are even o.k. (Not so with all the pho places on El Cajon).
Check out their egg rolls - The sauce that goes with them is awesome, and you have to wrap them in lettuce with mint leaves for the full effect.

I have dined here many many times for all sorts of occasions. It's very busy on the weekends. I notice that many people meet up here for business meetings. There was a period of time when I came to Pho Ca Dao every Sunday morning for breakfast. Their food is delicious. The proportions are perfect. And their prices are more than fair. They provide great service. Ca Dao is also one of the few restaurants in the area that happen to have Air Conditioning. And that's definitely a plus when having their hot noodle soups. Their specialty / emphasis is on many varieties of noodle soup (pho). Beyond that, they have other fabulous appetizers, dishes, and dessert beverages.
PROS: Good prices, great food, good service, air conditioning.
CONS: On the weekends, it is sometimes crowded.

I tried this place and WOW! The people working there are really friendly and check up on you to make sure you are happy with your food. And even with that, their food is better than most places and the restaurant is CLEAN!
