I've known Dr. Hallstrom and his wife for quite some time and as long as he keeps working, I won't take my animals to anyone else. They are both very loving and caring with the animals and their prices are far less then other vets in the area. Although, I would still go to him if he charged more. I don't know what happened with the few reviews I read where they described them as cruel but there must have been more too it than what was said because I've seen Dr H. get bitten and scratched and never even get upset. And when I had to bring my 14 and 15 yr old cats in to be put down a month apart, he and his wife couldn't have been more sweet and gentle with all of us. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Hallstrom, his wife+staff are straight forward, trustworthy, honest & truly the only vet that I implicitly trust with my pet. They're not out to run unecessary tests/procedures for their own financial gain. They truly care for their pet patients/human owners. Dr. Hallstrom, his wife & all staff are matter-of-fact, but not in a rude way, just straight forward with integrity, no hidden agenda..., highly knowledgeable & competent experts., fiving me & my family (for 3 generators now) great comfort & ease. This is the only vet in which the well being of our 4-legged family members will be entrusted!!!

I took my 12 year old dog into the vet with a huge lump on his throat. The vet got down on the ground and sat and talked to my dog and was very patient with him. He explained the different things it could be and one was an abcess. He explained that it would pop like a giant zit and he would just need medication. He's very affordable and very knowledgeable. He took his time in explaining everything!! i would recommend him to anyone who loves their animal!!

I recently fostered a rescue dog who needed to be neutered. Delta Animal Clinic was highly recommended by a good friend, and they were able to match the price of the local SPCA neutering clinic (but take him sooner). When I dropped him off, I explained that he was a shy dog, and they reassured me that their clinic works with shy animals. The problem? He had a bad reaction, when he woke up from the surgery. He growled and snapped at the vet tech-- something he has NEVER done in my care. Their response? To use a pole, grab him by the neck, and drag him out of the cage. Then, they LECTURED the person who was picking-up the dog. They did not even call me! The dog went home with a bruised eye and NO INSTRUCTIONS for aftercare. I don't care if a vet believes a dog should not have been sent from a different country because "there are plenty of USA dogs that need adoption." I don't care if the vet believes that the reputable non profit organization that is sponsoring the dog for adoption "must be making money off of this, somehow." You NEVER mistreat a dog under your care. The dog didn't ask to be sent to the US and fostered. It happened. Deal with the here & now, and don't blame the animal. If you are really familiar with shy dogs, then you should have handled the situation differently or called me for help.

Never, ever again will I use Delta Animal Clinic. I trust my animals to loving, caring people who put the dog's health first-- not politics. This vet took an oath to protect life. Shame on him for not following through on the care of my foster dog.

This guy should get out of the business. He doesn't even like animals! He treated my terminally ill dog very poorly and he was very rough. Do not go here.

I was referred to Robert Hallstrom DVM by my groomer. I have never in my life experienced the cruelty and inhumane treatment my dog received from him and his wife who is also his assistant. I told the vet that my Jack Russell, Casper didn't like getting shots or being examined at the vets office. I offered to help hold my dog down during the examination. The vet's response was that it was against the law to allow patients to assist and that in fact he had been sued twice for doing that. He then picked up Casper in a way that allowed Casper to scratch the vet on the arm, allowing blood to drip. The Dr. then yelled profanities at my dog and told my dog that he was the kind of dog that had better never get sick or injured, because he would die on the operating table. The wife also jumped in and attempted to control Casper. She was unsuccessful at putting on a muzzle and left the room to get a couple of other muzzles. While she was doing this the Dr. continued to curse Casper and held him tightly around the throat choking my dog and scaring the bowel contents right out of him. Finally they got the muzzle on. She then proceeded to body slam Casper twice down onto the cold stainless steel exam table. The assisting wife then bragged about dangling a 70 lb. German shepherd by its leash with 1 hand to keep that dog under control.Casper has been to the vets a number of times before and been handled gently, professionally and firmly. The treatment Casper and I both received was cruel and inhumane and outrageously unprofessional. You do not want to come here.

We have been to many vets over the years but this is the best, most straight-forward, caring professionals we've ever dealt with. They have early morning, evening and Saturday hours, don't charge an arm and a leg for giving your pets great care, are really knowledgeable and, to top it off, they have a great sense of humor. Makes it possible for everyone, including working families, to have healthy, well-cared for pets.
