One of the best muni courses in Claifornia; tee boxes, fairways & greens well maintained, bunkers are fair, high reward for good shots, low penalty for errors off the tee, a long course, many good views. The excellent pro shop staff is courteous, extra helpful if you've not played there before. The 19the hole is equivalent to most country clubws. Contrary to other opinions, I have had no difficulty booking tee times for 2, but it can be problematic for 4 some, especially on weekends. Exceptionally good value for reasonable price, a fine golfing experience.

This Muni course is known for it's location and length. It has a large driving range so practice during your lunch break is possible. If you're a long hitter you'll like this course. It's greens are fair. It gets lots of play so conditioning and maintenance is a challenge . However, compared to Pasatiempo in Santa Cruz it's well located. You'll probably want to take a cart unless you're use to walking a long course as there's a bit of a distance from greens to the next tee box. But if you're a "Golfer", you'll want to make the hour drive across HWY 17 to enjoy one of the Top 100 Course in the country; Pasatiempo. It's semi-private so go to their website for reservations and directions. world wide web dot pasatiempo dot com

Impossible to get a good tee time unless you are a Santa Clara resident. The layout is fun and uses every club in your bag. Has the oddity of the redone 6th and 7th holes on top of the former garbage dump. Unfortunately the course is slow and over used.

This was my first course to play in California, and I absolutely loved it. It was a little crowded on the Sunday afternoon, so try to get a tee time before 2:00pm if you want to finish before the sun goes down. Course and greens were in great condition. Incredibly value for Santa Clara residents. Call way early for a tee time, though.
