I have had such great experiences here with the staff and the shop. I like to do my own work on my bike, but they are always willing to answer my questions and even lend me tools for a few hours. I have also found their prices to be very competitive with all of the other bike shops on the street.

stanyan street cyclery is a great place to find advice and buy bikes. however, their selection is not that great compared to other cycleries around san francisco. they do carry treks and diamond backs, but when i went there no specialized bikes could be found. stanyan street does offer great advice and does not try to sell you things you do not need. as long as you know what you are looking for, they can help you.
