I did some comparison shopping with a $20 budget, I shopped between Vons and Trader Joe's, would you believe I got about 26% more at TRADER JOE'S ? Yes I did, items such as Milk, Orange Juice, Bread were actually cheaper, plus they always seem to be having those really generous demos, this time it was chicken and some type of black thai sauce , a perfect dinner for less than 4 dollars, and conveniently they were also giving out samples of their Apple Cider, to quench that spicy chicken, when last have you seen Vons doing that?! Also it breaks up the boring same things you always see offered at Vons, seems like Trader Joe's find unique products to keep you enticed!
Trader Joe's in La Jolla offers very poor service. The staff is often not very helpful. Items are ALWAYS out if you get there after 6 p.m.
If you are used to TJ's in LA forget about La Jolla. Not to mention the awful parking situation and that the store stays packed.
I love TJ but it has become too aggravating shopping when you don't know if they are going to be out of something or not.
I go to Henry's now..sorry
Whether you're health-conscious or not, this is the place to do your grocery shopping! The prices can sometimes get up there, but in general, the products are worth the bucks you pour into them. They have a wide variety of the tastiest health foods around -- so good, you wouldn't even know they're good for you!
This Trader Joes is a bit small, but it's a great place for shopping. They always have fresh produce, dairy, and meat. They have gourmet items for just about everything you can think of. They are especially good for finding a quick meal to bring home from work! Their wine selection is great and if you're looking for cheap good wine, they've got 2 Buck Chuck! You can't beat it!! Oh ya... they always have fresh beautiful flowers, too!
