Hot Cookie

I love coming to hot cookie on cold San Francisco nights for cookies and hot chocolate. Their cookies are really big and always tasty. This is a very small storefront, so you'll probably eat on the run. It's really close to the amazing Castro theater. Be warned that they have some profane desserts for sale, so you might want to think twice before bringing your conservative aunt. Then again, she might love it. Who knows?

I always return to this place because of its convenient location on Castro street and for their warm cookies. Very friendly staff but, some batches don't always come out the best. The bite size ones always seem to come out great though.

Hot cookie is a fixture in the Castro and a reliable fix for late-night munchies. The cookies are uniformly good if not great, but I recently discovered one standout that keeps my coming back: Mocha Cayenne (spicy!). I'm seriously addicted as are most of my friends. Very nice staff: once they were out of MCs just before closing but made me a special batch!
