A good indication of a good lunch spot is how they handle take out orders. Do they treat you differently? Do they give preference to their dine in customers? Is it easy to order, and how long is the turn-around time? In an area filled with office buildings, this place handled it well. I just walked in and ordered off their paper menu right at the front, and was greeted promptly during the height of lunch hour. They took my order after giving me a few moments to peruse the menu (he went away to give me some space), and afterwards, i went out to deposit money into the bank next door. By the time I came back, it was ready. I ordered the Ginger Chicken, and it was piping hot and tasty! One nice touch is they put it in foil within the box so it would stay hot, and to prevent spillage.

Just had lunch there and had a horrible experience. They had the restaurant door open thr' which wind was blowing in. We felt cold whole of an hour sitting there. When we told them to close the door the guy says ' Oh! if I close the door, I have to turn the A/C on'. When we asked he coldly said that 'there is no other place' just left our table saying that 'U guys decide, I have to take the orders from others'. Little did we realize that time that he was asking us to decide on continuing our lunch there!!!!! Then arrived our main course before our appetizer. When asked we got a rude answer 'Oh! You have to wait. Finally we waited for 15 mins after finishing our lunch and the check didn't arrive, we had to ask for it. Very very unfriendly and rude behaviour. Haven't seen such an attitude anywhere else.

I just started working in Redwood Shores and am so happy to find such a nice place for lunch near by! There is a really good selection of lunch entrees (mango chicken, various curry dishes, noodles, etc.) that come with soup and rice at very reasonable prices. Even though the restaurant was packed during the lunch hour (good sign!), I could still have a nice conversation with my lunchmate without having to yell. I'm definitely going back to try out the many other items on the menu!

PROS: Good food at great prices -- what more could you want?

Mango Bay has become a go-to lunch spot for our office. The restaurant space is relatively small, but well designed to fit a large number of people and not be so noisy to interrupt conversation. The mango chicken has been my lunch special of choice.
