Delicious food, great atmosphere and a solid value. Music was a bit too loud for conversation. We'll definitely be back.

The food here is so tasty, you have to try the pad Thai!!! I highly recommend. The place is also very well lit and looks like it is a new age fusion style of restaurant.

I love Osha! They have a dish for everyone! Im a very picky eater, and my boyfriend and I have very different taste in food, so choosing a restaurant to eat at can be difficult. But we both can easily agree on Osha! He loves the crispy chicken with fried rice and I highy recomend any of their yummy salads, made with fresh papaya, mango, cilantro, you get the picture 8) ...all fresh raw foods for the health-nut Iin me. I love the ambiance in the union street location, its really worth a visit! Also the mango sticky rice desert is one of my favorites not to heavy desert and great to share. MUST TRY!

The actual dinner dish was excellent, but I was not expecting them to also have great dessert. The fried coconut ice cream is to die for! I had to go back there for another serving before my trip was over. It's so unique and delicious! The place can be a little crowded at night, so be prepared to possible sit at a table w/ other couples if the place is packed.

This place is just around the corner where my dad lives. So, we often go here. I like the place - its modern, clean and the staffs are efficient. The staffs used to wear a shirt so tight and small, it shows their navel. Now, they dont wear that anymore. I love their pineapple fried rice with chicken and cashews. It really taste good. By the way, they dont have parking but there is a parking space where you pay 10 bucks or more. So, try public transportation and take the Geary Bus #38.

Osha Thai is amazing. They have fabulous food, are open incredibly late and conveniently located. I like the atmosphere. Everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves. The boothes are a little uncomfy, but I know they must be soooo much easier to clean. (I worked as a restaurant manager for 2 years.) I have never been seated at a "dirty" table. You know the ones with someone elses rice on it, or rings from others cups. Its clean, fast, friendly, and above all extremely tasty. The only thing that really bothers me, they take FOREVER to bring you the check. But they are generally pretty busy, and all you have to do is stop ANY of the staff and ask for it. The check generally arrives about .30 seconds later. Overall, great place to relax with friends.

This place used to be known for its cute and friendly waitstaff. No more. This is the most sullen group of Thai people I?ve ever seen. Normally, I would just shrug, but some genius decided to replace the comfortable diner style booths with HARD wide wooden black benches and narrow tables. It?s torture sitting on those things more than five minutes and you?d be lucky to fit more than 3 dishes on the tables they?re so tiny. I would say walking into Osha Thai Noodle is like walking into a funeral parlor, but that would be an unfair insult to funeral parlors. Before, it was a funky, informal, comfortable place to eat?now it?s one of the most depressing, ugly restaurants in San Francisco. To me, this is a tragedy, because Osha Thai Noodle also has the best Thai food in SF. What?s superb: duck noodles, pad thai, pad see ew, Osha Sea, pineapple fried rice, Chiang Mai style fried sausage (I?ve never seen it on any other Thai menu in the States), shrimp paste fried rice, but in truth, I?ve never had a bad meal here. That is the one thing that hasn?t changed and the reason I force myself to go every six months or so (I used to go at least twice a week). Also, the service is still speedy, even if ice cold. Memo to the owners of Thai Osha Noodle: replace the black wooden coffin furniture with comfortable booths before you run off the rest of your customers. And while you?re at it, try to hire servers that are at least as friendly as the average American.

Everything we ate at Osha was amazing - it just took forever for them to come take our order. Once we did, the food came very quickly and was extremely tasty. We shared a salad, a noodle soup, a curry, and a fried rice and everything was delicious. All that plus a beer for just under $40 - a great deal. We will definitely go back, just not when we are starving since it took some time for a table to free up and then that extended wait once we were seated before we could order.

I've recently turned my BF on to this place. I went here for the first time last year with a group of friends after a late night out. We got there around 1am-ish on a Sat nite and were seated pretty promptly, we ordered, and our food came out in no time. By 2am-ish the place started to get packed - - packed with people coming from the bars and clubs. So recently me and my BF stop by and share the crab fried rice (soooooo good) and their thai sausages (spicy) after a night of drinking and dancing. The few times we've been here we've had to wait, but that's because we didn't time it right. It's obviously good to get there before 1:30am to beat the crowds!

Ok so it may not be the cleanest restaurants around, but the food at Osha is absolutely fabulous! My faves include the crab fried rice, spicy string beans with your choice of meat (personal preference is pork), and Osha sea. Doesn't hurt that the service is quick and the prices are cheap! Parking is difficult to find though but hey, it's the same anywhere in the SF downtown-ish area so no biggie.

Osha is so good. I cannot get enough of it. Too bad that parking is horrible or elsewhere I would go there until I'm sick of it. I love their crab fried rice. That is my favorite because it's not as good elsewhere. Their pineapple fried rice is good too. Their noodles are also good. Everything is good so you just gotta try it. They don't take reservations so if you go during the busy hours, you'll probably have to wait a while.

I was only introduced to this place a few months ago, but I've definitely become a fan quickly. This place has been a haven many times on late nights. There are few late night restaurants that I really enjoy... I mean, sure there's Mel's Drive In not that far away, but Osha's service and food is way better. And you know the late night crowd loves this place because so many people arrive right after the 2AM cut off. You might have to wait for a table, but it's never more than 15 minutes. This places turns tables pretty fast. If you go, try any of the curries or noodles, they're delish!

What a graet idea; spicy noodles or rice and just the right amount of deep-fried goodness served well after the bars close. Sure, I'd probably die of heart disease within six months would that I chose to eat like this daily, but Osha is a great budget place indulge in salty, oily foods post-bar.

There is nothing else to say, this Restaurant is AWESOME!
The only time I got a dish which was different from #71 (Fried Sauteed Garlic Beef W/Rice), was my first time going there back in 2000. Other than that I've been to Osha countless times & I still order the Garlic Beef, this is the Best Thai Restautrant in SF.

If you want to be ignored, I recommend this restaurant. We were promptly seated; however no one attended to us for well over 15mins, not even a glass of water. Our food came about the time as our appetizers. The food was not warm. It was definitely a disappointment dining in my neighborhood that night.

Osha is great for all you partygoers living the life in SF. Their pad kee mao is the best I've had in the Bay Area, and their green curry is quite tasty. Prompt service and late hours are definitely a plus. If you're looking for good Thai food at starving-student prices, come here.

We live in the area and were disappointed when Jour local Thai restaurant closed. We were on a the search for a new place to replace it and Osha has done that. The menu is quite extensive, the food is delicious and the service is pretty good. Prices aren't all that cheap but pretty reasonable. It is a good option if you are in the Union Square area because the food options are so limited there, it is a 4 or so blocks away.

A great little spot for a late night snack, Osha Thai is open until the wee hours. All their dishes are very reasonably priced (under $8) and portions are decent. I've had the spicy noodles with mushrooms, bamboo and chinese broccoli, very good. Service is average but at these prices, who cares? Overall a great spot for a casual meal...

This is a great restaurant for anyone! Only $7 or $8 will cover the cost of your food! Delicious choice of noodles, and ALL plates on the menu are available in vegetarian versions, where tofu is substitued for the meat, so if you are a vegetarian do not be turned off if you do not see any vegetarian entrees off the bat. The waiters and waitresses are also aware of veganism and ask if egg is okay (if you chose to have a vegetarian version and the original contains egg). The Rice noodles are the best!!! This is definately a must to try for anyone! And don't be afraid if you don't like spice, not all entrees are hot, and you can always ask for mild, which I recommend unless you like really spicy food..... so what are you waiting for??.... get down to geary and eat some incredible Thai!

only been here in the states for 6 months. We have tried so many Thai restaurants in Sf with only a few passable. OSHA is the real deal. It is not Royal Thai cuisine but it is what you find in and around Thailand that is so popular. Cheap eats cooked authentically. To the lady who gave it a 3 adn said it was not good I would like to know where she was in Thailand. She must have eaten at the hotel restaurants and farang(foreigner) places exclusively. It is also a hip place to go...always full but rarely a wait more htan a few minutes...you are served minutes after you order always fresh and tasty.

After living in Thailand, I returned in quest of good Thai food. I tried OSHA based on a recommendation. It took some effort to get to - no parking & in an icky area of town. I thought if the food was good, it would be worth it. It wasn't. Barely passable & tasteless noodles and bad service. I won't go back.

It's SO hard not to give them a 10, but they really are one of the best Thai places in the City, bargain or no bargain. Okay, so Them Phenom is quite the tasty little spot, but it's such a trendy mess, and can get expensive -- unless I'm in the neighborhood, I don't go there. Osha and Berkeley Thai House are still the best two overall scorers in the area. Unbelievably quick service, consistently high quality and quantity of food, and amazing value. Always impressive.

This is the place to go when you are coming home late and starving for a real meal. Most nights they're open after midnight so this is the place to go. You will see a mixed crowd at this restaurant - business people, club people - pretty much anyone who is a food person. Great menu, prices, spices (if you want them), noodles, rice dishes, ambiance.
