I was very unhappy with the service at this Uhaul facility. I have rented a truck or trailer many times across the country. I have rented twice from this Uhaul location. I chose this facility since is was close to my work. The manager, Mogi, told me both times that trucks are the items in demand and not trailers. So it was understood that I could bring it back after use without a problem. In fact the first time I rented this summer I brought it back the third day as I had to work until after 8pm. The second time I rented from them was the end of September and it was very busy that Thursday around 5pm. The manager seemed overwhelmed and not customer oriented that day. Even though I asked for help, I was not assisted in putting the trailer on and off my hitch on my Jeep. I had to find someone getting fuel at the Shell gas station to help me. Like the first rental experience, I was told I would have a flexible grace period to return the trailer as they have plenty of trailers and then they billed me for the time anyways. I needed to use the trailer on Friday and had to work over the weekend into the evening. So I tried to return the trailer on Monday after 8pm when the shop was closed. I could not get the trailer off my Jeep hitch. Nobody that worked at the gas station would help me unhitch the trailer since they are not associated with the Uhaul side of the business (this location shares space with the Shell gas station). So I went back the next day in the afternoon to deliver the trailer. I had someone pumping gas help me unhitch the trailer as the manager was busy talking to another person. Later that week I noticed I was billed four days for a one day use of the trailer. I went back to complain about this error with Mogi and he basically denied what he told me about the return policy. He said if you have problems call this number (707-761-0676) to see if they will help me out. When I asked his upper management to correct it they said their hands were tied and they could do nothing. Then I asked for us to split the bill 50/50 on the extra billing which seemed very fair especially since I was a returning customer. They refused to do this too. It is obvious this facility could care less about customers and making their rental experience pleasant and worth referring to others. SO, I RECOMMEND YOU GO TO ANOTHER UHAUL FACILITY. They do not care about customers at this location. We are just a commodity like their trailers and trucks.
