The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library

This is such a neat place. Located in a very quiet area, there is lots of landscape, etc around to look at. The museum is well kept and really cool because it has a lot of information and artifacts from presidencies past. They have other neat historical things to look at and informative docents and guides.

This place gives me the creep. It's a very one-sided shrine to Reagan, and I find that to bill this place as a "library" where one might ostensibly review facts and history and make their own judgements is misleading. this place offers a rose-colored view of Reagan's actions during his presidency and I really, really resent that it's become the site of many field trips for the local school district.

Being a foreigner, I was worried that I would be bored at this museum, but there was plenty of interesting exibits to check out. They had lots of little movies here and there that you could sit and watch. The yard outside could have been prettier, but the view was nice, and we were a little disappointed by his grave site, which seemed a bit stark to us, and tucked away in a corner, almost. They have a cafe there, staff is friendly, and of course a store full of Reagan and presidential memorabilia. Children and Seniors get good rates.
