If you're looking for a place to have a party of any type & if you really want to just throw your money away...this is the place to go!!!!!!

I recently held a party at this facility & you'd think with the amount of money they charge the owners would treat a customer better. This guy is very cocky, arrogant & could care less whether you patronize his business or not. When you ask a specific questions about what services are being offered, he gives you these open ended one word responses that aren't clear. Which unfortunately, leads you to ask even more questions, which he totally shows you how annoyed he is by his demeanor.

Regardless, of their fees you would think the owner would be a little bit more welcoming or inviting, however he lacks skills to deal with the public, which is very obvious. Funny thing is the guy who owns this place is African American & with a business in the San Gabriel Valley area where its residence patronize "their own" establishments (which after dealing with him I don't blame people for doing so), he should understand that sometimes just on appearance alone could possibly seal the fate on potential business. People period don't need or want to do business with others that are just plan & simply...RUDE! Most folks with an IQ higher than a field mouse would know when their money is truly being welcomed & when it's not. Especially, when the business of having parties at a place like Ultrazone is a very easy money to make & there are people who are willing to give their children a great time despite the expense.

Trust me I'd never go back until I know this guy no longer owns it. The only good & smart thing the owner did was hire staff that understood not only about customer service, but clearly understood how NOT to be in the service industry. I'm sure that it was more due to good home training the staff had as oppose to being properly trained by their boss. But hey who knows, I'm sure they probably walk around on egg shells too, knowing how belittling their boss can be. They have my sympathy & I hope they land a better gig else where. In the end, the kids had fun which in a nut shell for me was the only positive experience I'd hope to have after being treated so poorly.

He better wake up, smell the coffee & table the condescending attitude!!!!!!! Because places like this will be short lived if at best a one hit wonder type of establishment.

Just don't waste your time & money...there are plenty of other places you can get laser tag games from. Look on-line for mobile laser tag places that will come to your home or a park. I'm sure that would be a better idea than to waste your efforts at Ultrazone.

If there were 0 stars, I would select a big fat 0. I went to this place at 11pm on 9/21/07. We were about to start playing and the manager (description - short, overweight, probably hispanic female) was having a power trip that night. Her coworkers seemed to know she was like that.

Supposedly she was claiming someone turned on a TV in the instruction room. She wouldn't let anyone play unless the person that turned on the TV confessed. She was apparently upset that she had to get up and turn on the TV that was probably out of her reach. Anyway, I was part of the last group and no one touched any TV. No one cares to. We are all in our mid-20's to late 20's. We are not childish like that. Anyhow, what is the big deal?! She literally had us talking to her for 20 minutes not letting us play. She was having a power trip not letting 30 CUSTOMERS play. We were so sick of it, one of my friends in my group lied and confessed to turning on the TV, so that the others could play. I refused to let him do that. Anyway, finally she let us play.

However, it doesn't end there. When we went to play, someone had turned off all the lights in the room. We could have possibly tripped and injured ourselves because there are ramps and sharp turns in the arena. No one turned off the lights. We suspect that the girl manager turned it off. It didn't seem like it would be beyond her.

Anyway, we went for my friend's birthday. Needless to say, we will never be back, and I will definitely tell anyone I know to never go there. The owner if he or she reads this will need to definitely take care of this problem or you will lose business and bleed red ink (i.e. lose money). One positive note: There was a guy that was the 'game master' that was giving us the instruction that night. He was a funny friendly guy. He was Hispanic, clean-cut, probably 5' 6", and I would recommend that he become the new manager.

I went with a large group of friends and I had a fantastic time. The facility is small, but it didn't matter when you're having fun with friends. The price was pretty good for a few hours. When we went, there weren't that many people there so we didn't have to wait long for our turn. The staff was friendly and didn't repeat their rules and safety to us whenever we head in after a few times.

Growing up in Houston, I used to go to Laserquest with my church and had a whole lot of fun. I had always wanted to go again with my husband but I could never find the same type of place and the only Laserquest was far away. Then I found Ultrazone and I was thrilled to see it was in Alhambra. My husband, being a huge fan of action movies, Halo2 and paintball, LOVES this type of thing. I just discovered this place about a week ago, and I'm going to take him there next week. I can't wait either, it's a bunch of fun for kids or adults of any age. It's dark and you get to run around with laser guns and shoot everyone. Isn't this every boy's / man's fantasy?

The games aren't exactly cheap and the amount of time that you actually get to play is really little. It's not even all that fun because it gets a little confusing and crowded on the "field" (a lot of people get to play at once). If you want something fun to occupy a lot of time, I wouldn't recommend this!

PROS: Lots of people can play
CONS: too little time, too crowded

Lots of fun for those who aren't quite old enough to get into R-rated movies alone and loads of fun for those who are! Enjoy laser tag for less than ten dollars a game or if you want, rent out the whole place for a birthday or special celebration. I personally think its great for rambuntious kids to work off the extra energy before they go home for dinner. Also, they have video games that accept tokens as well so for those not interested in laser tag, there are other fun options!

Pretty fun, especially during Halloween. They charge to go through the maze but worth the $ if you have kids who like to be scared. Video games and more video games. Great place to take the kids on a Saturday afternoon!
