Tired of paying $3 for an onion? Go to Vallarta! Since their produce is cheap and the processed foods are pricier, I'm always enticed to cook home-cooked meals. The only downside is this branch is very small--but if that's a problem, go to another branch. They also have great take-out deals. For $10, you get 1 lb of carnitas (or a whole chicken), rice, beans, salsa and tortillas.

At times, whenever I come to this place, the produce doesn't come to par. I mean the apples are bruised so are the pineapples. My wife would comment "Where did you get these apples from?" and I would say "Vallarta". Then I would get this look as if I was an idiot to shop there as their produce literally "bites". Sure it is cheap but not worth it. I do go there to buy ethnic goods like tamarind candies, salsa, and chips which are really authentic and good . Overall, a satisfactory place to shop. I prefer Albertsons.

they have authentic mexican food here. Their deli serves all sorts of Mexcan dishes and have made-to0-order dishes for a party or something. there are so many ingredients to make your own Mexican food at home. The produce is low priced and fresh. It's a fun experience, minus the rubbing elbows with fellow shoppers because it's so cramped.
