I visit my parents in Bishop and always make it a point to visit East Side Books. There is one other bookstore in Bishop and ESB has a far better selection. Another reviewer thought that some of the sections were a bit unorganized, but frankly, that's what I love about it. It's organized into general categories, but then you have the glorious experience of spending hours in the stacks discovering new books. East Side Books is exactly what a used book store should be.

This is Bishop's only used bookstore, which makes it special. It's small but has a pretty good selection. It has two rooms. They offer children's programs and have a good children's section for their size. The books in the adult areas are somewhat disorganized. If you bring books there to sell, there can be a long wait (days) until you hear back from them.

PROS: the only one in town
CONS: small
