Rudford's Restaurant

A friend and I went there for lunch after church,after being seated at our table,no one came up to us and asked us what we wanted to drink or even didn't take the time to ask us for our order,after 15 or 20 minutes we just walked out,what ever happened to customer service with a smile,some of those waitresses have been there for so long that they need to be put to sleep...Oh well,what do you expect?

It's not fancy but it tastes good.If you want fancy food with a fancy decor, go somewhere else.If you want good food at a decent price, go to Rudfords.I lived in the area for many years and went there many times.It's been there for years and so has some of the wait staff.The neighborhood has changed, but this diner has stayed consistent. Ask yourself why. Friendly staff, relaxed, simple atmosphere. Tables, booths and counter. try the eggs with biscuits and gravy.

They have pretty good diner food at fairly inexpensive prices. It's located on El Cajon Blvd (aka the Ghetto), but the place itself is pretty cool. It reminds me of those diners you see on TV and movies.

this is a good place to eat since it is 24 hour and you are hungry in the middle of the night. they have good breakfast and other food. the turkey club sandwich was pretty good as well.

Look like many of the wanna be artsy, fartsy, ucsd type, chic people that go to Rudfords, I have tried to enjoy it on a campy level. But lets face it the food sucks, I paid 8 bucks for a frozen waffle. This place has potential, but lives up to nothing. To make it worse I live near by, and get to listen to all the three a.m. drinking bingers in the parking lot, if its so bad going down, what does Rudfords food feel like when it comes back up? Oh and thanks for the cigarette butts and trash. Now Rudfords is trying to claim my visitor parking, well I have news for whatever troll is running that place I have seen the property lines, and it aint gonna go well for you. I would have shared the parking, I might have even tried to stomach the food every once and awhile, but I am watching the cook right now and he is out back smoking a cigarette with one of the local prostitutes. Rudfords is not stylish, I hope they give the legions of seniors who go there stellar deals, cause that would be the only hope I have left for the place. So go ahead eat there, Russian roulette for food poisoning!

good place to go anytime of day.

My dads personal faverite since the 60's
athough it has bee there for longer!

during the holiday times, youll have a bit of a wait for a table.

Their breakfest food is always the best though.

PROS: nice old resturant "vintage"
CONS: sometimes you have to wait for a table.
