Wilsons Jewel Bakery

This weekend I was reminded of how great this little bakery is! It's not to far from the Santa Clara University campus and boy they make the best molasses cookies. You have got to try them.

Wilsons makes cakes that are not too heavy. I usually order a nice apple spice cake with banana cream filling w/whip cream frosting. Can't get enough of it! The cake is very spongy and not overly filling. I never feel too guilty eating a huge piece of cake! They do a wonderful job with cake decoration as well. A family favorite!

This bakery has been in Santa Clara forever. As you drive up outside, you can smell the sugar. The store itself is fairly dated and nothing fancy. They sell a huge selection of pastries and cakes. They also sell wedding cakes. I guess they're a good place for a large cake, but you can get better tasting cake at other bakeries.
