Ok, compared to most movie theaters this place was $8 the last time I went for a night showing with student ID. AMC in Burbank is $11! The bad thing about this theater is that it does not have stadium seating.

It's quieter theatre. The Popcorn is good and THEY add the butter. This is easier on your way in, and I don't know about you but when I add my own butter like the way you have to at the big megaplexes the butter is too little or too much and sits near the top of the container.
So actually a movie is a movie, but the main reason I go to La Canada Theatre is because of the Popcorn. It is about the same distance for me as it is to go to the Winnetka, Northridge Mall, Burbank and Granada Hills Theatres.

Very good multicomplex. The theaters are clean. Parking is abundant. I don't think the cost is an issue because it's pretty much the same elsewhere.
There are several small restaurants and a Starbuck's adjacent to the complex as well as a selection of eateries down the street. It's an ideal location for "movie and a meal."

If you're tired of the crowded AMC theatres in LA or Burbank, I would come here. It doesn't get as crowded, they have all the popular movies here. It's also located in a shopping mall so there are several small restaurants and a Starbucks you can go to before or after a movie. The price for general admission is slightly cheaper than AMC and of course student discounts are offered.
Not too far from Pasadena.
